Jarrod Saffy will switch from NRL side St George Illawarra to the Melbourne Rebels next season and will play at no 7 or no 8.

South African born and played Rugby at a rep level as a junior, so not going in as green as one might think. Classic case of League poaching 15 year olds thing, will be laughing at the 'uproar' over his defection. 2/10

Didn't see the Chiefs game...and given their kicking effort and draw, at home, against the Cheetahs of all sides, I probably don't want to see it either. It looks like Vimes picked the wrong game to be drawn, incidentally...

I did catch the game in Brisbane, really impressive defensive effort from the Reds who now must be fancying their chances of a semi-final spot. Certainly the Stormers found the going much more difficult than in Waikato last week though to be expected given the Red's strong showing so far this year. I wouldn't be surprised, given the Stormers' tough final three matches, if that match is crucial in that the Reds make the semi-finals and the Stormers don't.

Just to cap off a predictable night of rugby, the Force has just beaten the Crusaders in Perth even though the Crusaders held a 13-0 lead...with the Crusaders still to travel to South Africa that really throws any rational predictions for the top four.

I have bet $30 on the bulls to beat the lions. I am regretting my bet because I only win a measly $1.20 - it is like what is the point. I guess the TAB doesn't want to lose any money.
