Random country draft

I think 12 hours has passed, so HB probably gets Mushtaq Mohammed.

The last 3 countries are going to be a bit tricky IMO. Apart from WI, AUS and ENG I think it might be tough if you're closer to the bottom.

Shoaib Akhtar

I'll take him.Though volatile on his day is superb. The best paksitani fast bowler after Imran,Waqar and Wasim.
Gives me a attacking option along with Bond.

His strike rate is excellent though his average among the best may not be the first.

Pretty awesome batting lineup and with West Indies up next, that bowling attack can only get better.

Nah, the Windies would have close to the clearly best 2nd alltime XI of all the teams. I'll put the question to people - do we want to randomly select the last three rounds from the 8 countries included, or say that they'll be Aus, Eng and WI?

I think we could perhaps couple up a few teams and then go random.

Srilanka + South Africa
Pakistan+ India
Newzealand + West Indies
Australia
England

Then select randomly ,otherwise if Newzealand or Srilanka came up again ,it would be really dependent on luck and will benefit those who go top on these teams, too much as compared to those who go first on on Australia or England.

Still waiting on Brumbers and Sommers right?

Have a play in my sights, will be beyond gutted if he's taken.

I think Brumby has a selection before me but I'd choose Mohammad Yousuf or Hanif Mohammad, in that order.

99* now has the benefit of foresight we discussed earlier. He can make his Pakistani pick knowing there's a West Indian in store for him straight after.

Reckon Matt79 should randomise the next nation rightaway

Just going back over the drafting of England players, I've only just realised that WG almost missed selection entirely - I wanted a bowler and either Barnes or Lohmann were my priorities but even if others had a similar tactic to me I would've thought that Grace would've been a bit higher up.

Not too bad an idea but I'm trying to think of 10 players for even the combined teams and its quite a challenge. I think West Indies are good enough by themselves, but the other 5 simply dont have that sort of world beating options. South Africa aren't bad I suppose. England and Australia have loads remaining though so would be best to definitely have those 2.

Was very happy that I got him. He was actually third on my 'to get' list after Hobbs and Hutton

Right it's been 12 hours since HB made his pick. But only 5 hours since it was confirmed.

Is BB's pick skipped now, or in 7 hours time?
