8 wickets from 5 matches at 6.66 eco rate.

Yeah drop him for a rookie or an australian whose eco rate is 9.25.

Well done gilly, well done dc management.

****s. No wonder they are at the bottom of the table.

This was his debut, they hardly knew what his economy rate was going to be!

And like PEWS said, he's primarily a batsman anyway.

His career T20 economy rate coming into this game was actually 2.57 - an absolute joke he wasn't picked earlier IMO.

Not that I agree with the dropping at all, but you're misrepresenting the situation a little by quoting those numbers as Marsh is principally a batsman. They've gone for a different balance rather than actually backing Marsh to outperform Vaas with the ball.
Surely vaas is no mug with the bat.

Harris shouldn't be playing. Vaas is way better than him.

Nah Harris was quite good tonight, he started superbly but just had the misfortune of having to bowl the final over after Bangalore had all the momentum which had nothing to do with his earlier efforts. His efforts last year and his international recent bowling means having him over Vaas really shouldn't be a tough decision.

By rookie I meant Marsh. No, I don't have him.

By the australian with eco rate of 9.25 I meant harris. He shouldn't be playing at all atleast not ahead of vaas.

Hadn't realised how good Vaas actually was early on. Deccan do have too many holes to plug, batting has been very poor yet they clearly need an extra high standard bowler.

8-) did you watch initial games that vaas played? I'd take 'form' over last year's IPL or test match or whatever.

So what's your justification for dropping him?

Wow. The logic is incredible.

Coming back to the game, Steyn's over was bloody brilliant from a pure pace fan. He touched 153 and almost all his deliveries were 150 plus. But I think he touched got a bit carried away and hence had to bowl the extra balls. Also that was a drag on the overrate.

Promptly replaced by kallis. He helps the over rate though not sure about the run rate. :(

Awesome innings' from Suman and Symonds. Symo came in and just smashed it, quality stuff. Hopefully RCB'll bring KP back in for the next game.

Glad to see finally symmo of the old.

But what an innings by suman! Tailored the chase to brilliance.

And p kumar is **** once the ball stops moving around. It's amazing how he transformed from an unplayable bowler in the initial overs to puerile in the end over.

Is there a less succesful T20 bowler than Kallis? Amongst those who regularly bowl, I mean.

Averages 50.39 with 23 wickets in 46 innings of bowling (140 overs), ER of 8.25.

Bangalore need to win 3 of the next 4 matches to qualify for next round. Really tough as the other bottom ranked teams picking up at last stages of this first round.

Kumble needs to re-think about leaving KP next time...

Would probably go through with 2 wins with that net run rate.
