I know he is expensive, but get him out and get Napier in, a merely superior version of Pollard.

Agreed. Napier is criminally under-rated by almost everyone.

Disappointing to see Ravi get 2 incorrect LBW decisions in a row. Very frustrating, though todays one was very close.

I can stomach watching Preity Zinta jumping up and down wearing a team jersey, but I draw the line at rotund middle-aged ladies dressed in their team colours.

Disappointing Punjab. Not only throwing wickets away (when wickets weren't taken from them), but the fielding and pressure bowling was sketchy at best.

Damnit, Lee. Find your line.

Always thought Napier was a one season wonder (a bit like Mustard and Wright). Don't see that he did anything last summer to deserve a starters spot in the IPL.

Originally thought Pollard was a decent signing, but him and Yuvi must be the 2 most dissapointing batters in the tournament this year so far. Boycott would have scored more runs that the 2 of them put together!

One season wonder with the bat, been consistently excellent with the ball for some time, and is one of the leading T20 bowlers in the world (2nd in the world, 2 wickets behind Yasir Arafat in terms of wickets taken but with a superior average and economy). He may be slightly expensive with the ball, but he's a genuine wicket-taker, and performed decently in the IPL games he played last year. I'm convinced that the 150odd he made in that T20 game actually did him more harm than good. After that everyone perceived him to be a batting all-rounder, which simply has never been the case. He's a bowler that bats a bit, yet people have been expecting him to start scoring heaps of runs, which is never going to happen. Should definitely be playing for his bowling though.

Actually disappointed with MI's performance today.

1. What was Rayudu doing? He is dire as a keeper and has done nothing to make Tare sit out. Not only he cost them runs
on field but also made this unnecessarily close with bad batting.

2. Fielding was mixed bag:) There were some appaling moments with some good ones. Turb took two good catches, but the Dhoni clone Tiwary need to put through some rigorous training. Every time the ball went to him, a double was easy and his throw would put Munaf to Shame.

3. What was Bravo doing at no.6 in a tricky chase? If he can't be relied to take charge in a tough situation, might as well drop him. He surely need to bat at 3 or 4 as he likes to settle down and hit out.

4. Mclaren is not really up to it in my opinion. I think Jayasurya is better not only with bat but also the ball and can Improve the poor overrates as well.

5. Which brings me to over rates. Truly was dire today. Having 5 guys bowling medium pace did not help. But constant field adjustments was more to blame.

God had an off day and am glad it didn't cost them big. :)

Disappointed that Kohli was put in ahead of Pietersen, will be even more annoyed if Dravid bats ahead of him too. KP should be batting 3, or at the lowest 4 in this side. Having him come in at 6 would be a complete waste. If I was RCB I'd look at a batting line-up of:

Jacques Kallis
Manish Pandey
Kevin Pietersen
Virat Kohli
Eoin Morgan
Robin Uthapppa +

Really don't think there's space for Dravid tbh. He's not a great T20 player anyway, so they could get Goswami in to keep wicket at 7, as there's no point having a guy like Dravid batting that low. That top 6 looks excellent though.

Will be interesting what they do once Ross Taylor gets over there

Pietersen should open the batting, so that once he gets out, I can switch off the television and do something else.

Why is Kohli batting ahead of Pietersen? Get in line, son. You aren't good enough to lacquer Kevin Pietersen's cricket bat.

Taylor in at 5 ahead of Morgan/White in my side. Would be a heck of a batting line-up then!
I'd have Taylor at 4 ahead of Kohli, ideally you'd want Taylor batting for a good number of overs, if he does gets out, Kohli can consolidate (if there's such a thing in T20's).

No idea why Dravid is playing if he's going to bat low

At this stage, he couldnt come in front of White so what really is the point?

Is Danny Morrison really well liked in India or something? Bizarre that he used to only get commentary stints like Bangladesh V Zimbabwe
