They may have taken place outside Australia but would, for obvious reasons, have been publicised more there than in England. They get virtually zero publicity in England so far as I'm aware.Strange, since most of his off-field deeds weren't in Australia
This is bollocks. A plus vote is 3 negative votes for the other guys with this logic.Because if it counts as one minus vote in a battle of four, it means in effect that you have three plus votes.
Ha, lol.As for Richards, he was a fine batsmen, but I'm ambivalent towards him generally. According to Steve Waugh, he could get a bit grumpy when coaching (he ran a coaching clinic in Australia for talented cricketers - Waugh included - in the late 70's).
Ok thanks for explaining though I don't agree.I wrote a long paragraph of why I hated Waugh but it got deleted. I will try and re-write -
It was difficult for me to spell out the exact reasons why I hate Waugh but when I thought about it today, it came easy to me.
I believe in sportsmanship and Monica Seles is my favorite sportsperson. Monica Seles was very gracious in defeat and used to carry herself very well. Waugh would do almost any thing to win which irked me a lot. The worst was dismissing a RSA batsman who was out of the crease after the ball was bowled by Australia which lead to Cronje smashing the glass of the dressing room in a stadium in Australia. Waugh played it ugly and it was horribly poor to watch. I used to love Australia under Taylor but with Waugh I found myself despising the team. I tried to play the Waugh way once in back yard cricket sledging my friends. I was frankly embarassed by it. I find myself the polar opposite of Waugh in so many different ways. I despise him to the core.
Could imagine him belting out a fair rendition of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Wearing the tattered baggy green, naturally.the cricketer least likely to perform Karaoke.
