My vote goes to andy flower, just loved watching him bat and keep wicket, he is one of the players that made me want to become a keeper batsman along with alec stewart.

The Don, anti-catholic shenanigans and all.

A much, much more interesting line-up than the previous one IMO - I would happily vote for any of these blokes over anyone in that first battle.

I am having a bit of a personal crisis, so can't conduct this battle. I am extremely sorry. I would appreciate if some one else, preferably Hakon takes over the battle adding the new players recommended. Again, sorry.
I hope everything works out for the best for you Pratters.

Kumble in this round. I consider Bradman to be the greatest cricketer, but he was never my favorite.

Hutton. One of the nicest men to ever play the game as well as breaking new ground to give professionals equality.

Actually, even more surprised by this one...

Thought you'd be a Hutton man for sure, Mr Z?
Weirdly I don't really have strong feelings about any of this quartet, Sir Len included. I'm sure that had I been a boy growing up at any time from the late '30s to the early '50s he would have been an absolute hero of mine, but that's not the case.

I've gone for Flower as my "favourite" of the 4 because I know him a little better in that I've seen and heard interviews with him. I find him an incredibly impressive indivdual: tough but intelligent, thoughtful, articulate and thought-provoking. And the stand he took against Mugabe demands respect. A great player too although that doesn't distinguish him from the others of course.

No disrepect to Kumble either who's a champion and also by all accounts one of the nicest men in the game.

Have to go with Flower. A class act on and off the field and has given us back some of the self-respect we were in danger of losing under the previous regime.
