*Official* England in Bangladesh

BoyBrumby

Englishman
Hossain gets Colly now. Reversing in and pings him bang in front. Justice for the boy, is bowling his heart out.

107/3. Well, well.

Aritro

International Regular
After standing around for roughly half a minute to think about all the possible ways he could turn down the appeal, the umpire decided it was just too obviously out and raised his finger.

Which was nice of him.

Time for Bangladesh to be stripped of Test status, preferably before Wednesday morning. I may just go back to bed, as we're relying on Bell again. Help...

Good lord, Cricinfo tells me that Trott has only scored 5 runs off 57 Shakib deliveries. Is Trott struggling or just in a bit of a shell?

Would be nice for Bell to ton up first and to get that monkey off his back. Although doing it against Bangladesh won't be good enough for some I suppose.

International Captain
Not struggling as such, just doesn't have a gameplan in general against spin. He seems unable to rotate the strike or find gaps and seems to be thinking of defence first, only attacking the real rank deliveries. Unless he over-hauls his game and his mindset I don't see him having much success in the subcontinent. Just lucky that one of the better players of spin bowling in the XI, Ian Bell is out there with him.

Shakib is also bowling over the wicket outside leg stump. He is content to bowl dot balls and Trott is content to face them out. It is not making enthralling viewing - it is stalemate that's not developing the game in anyone's favour. Razzaq bowling dirt there to let Trott find the ropes. Twice in three balls. And another four two balls later... Trott is not being distracted by the morse code.

I think an offspinner is an essential change here.
