The above is an outstanding example of proper moderation IMO. The poster is given a warning and the offending post is deleted, thereby reducing the chance that people will react to it and derail the thread. Great job Clapo! :)

Certainly agree.

What I hope that it does is highlight how vital reporting posts can be. If people wait until moderators see it in their own browsing time, then often it can be too late and the horse has bolted, and there is already thirty posts worth of stuff that no-one wants to read. Reporting posts can ensure more timely responses from us, and allow this sort of thing to occur more often. :)

I don't have a chance I guess with my recent squabbles in the forum though I have ensured such incidents wont repeat. I would recommend honestbharani.

EDIT - Honestbharani is apparently leaving for the US.

EDIT 2 - GI Joe would be perfect for the job.

On a different note, I would like to see moderators like Loonybob, Rich2001, Neil Pickup, Mister Wright (? Don't know if he is active enough) and Liam who are no longer active/hardly active on the forum removed from the moderator list. They are there in name only.

Those members don't do a lot of visible moderating as such but they're always good value in the mod forum when an issue arrises.
