Just came in to say, the guy you were referring to was BRad Hogg.

Bichel sounds way different, and knows how to pronounce 'Deccan'.

Just saw the scorecard. @ Chennai's bowling attack.
Imo, Chennai should go in with...

1. Matthew Hayden
2. Murali Vijay / Parthiv Patel
3. Suresh Raina
4. S Badrinath
5. MS Dhoni
6. Albie Morkel / Justin Kemp
7. R Ashwin
8. Shadab Jakati
9. M Muralitharan
10. Manpreet Gony / L Balaji
11. Makhaya Ntini / Thilan Thushara

Tyagi>Gony IMO Manee.
Similar speeds, but Tyagi more of a scattergun. Gony puts it on a length, but that is preferrable to Tyagi's sheer lack of control, imo, in T20. Unless Tyagi gets the speed up, his accuracy will cost him 9 an over per game.

Tyagi has proven to be a dud in T20s so far. He averages nearly 40 from 10 games with just 5 wickets and an awful economy rate.

I think Badri is not really T20 material. Agreed there are guys who are not hard hitters but yet made t20 their home ut then they are adept at rotating strike right from the beginning. Badri neither hits out nor rotates strike and thus is a liability imho.

Also Dhoni MUST bat higher than No.6. Preferably at No.3 as that would give him the time to settle down and tee off.

Hmm. Accuracy is the key, yeah. I think Tyagi can bowl faster than Gony and would be able to take more wicket which tilt it in his favor for me. I always prefer a wicket taker to a pure run stopper.

I think in this edition faster to the bat means faster to the fence.

Besides Goni gets extra bounce, somewhat surprising from the wicket too which Tyagi does not.

RR vs DD

RR is more of a good bowling side with batsmen who can explode on their day. Considering that I would like them to play to their strength. Get Morkel and Tait to fire the opening spell, followed by Munaf and Kamran Khan. Warney can take care of the spin. Ojha plays as the WK, Yusuf the all-rounder, Smith fills up the 4th overseas player's slot and then pick 3 from Asnodkar, Dogra, J'wala and Raut

11:

Smith
Asnodkar
Ojha
YP
Dogra
J'wala / Raut
Warney
Morkel
Tait
Kamran
Munaf

(depending up on the situation, the batting order changes)

DD would be starting as the favs. Nehra and Warner should play in place of Mahesh and Mahroof.

It would become more interesting once the likes of Watson and Vettori come along for their respective teams. They are two of the finest all-rounders at the moment.
