Bopara's unerring knack of picking out fielders ends his innings.
Agreed. Comparable to Afridi with the bat at best.Yousufs in deadly form but yall shouldnt get too excited about this dude playing for Indian national team. He smacked around club players in this game. His game winning domestic innings was also against 110-120 kmph bowlers last month. I think he kind of struggles against really good pacemen on the international circuit.
In anycase, Ive always felt he should be in the Indian limited overs squad, just no reason to get too excited about him.
In the one day game I guess Kieswetter will be opening, so with Morgans' success at 5, can't see too many spare batting places.Bopara always picks out fielders off nothing deliveries like that though. He's a long way off getting back into England's side.
That frankly is rubbish. If anything Dhoni has only given more chances than he really deserved at that particular point in time. There's also the matter of a captain who loves him and another who wishes to dispense with him sooner than later. I wouldn't be surprised if he did well for an English county or South African franchise or an Aussie T20 team.
Fatter than Powar?Abdulla not fit enough to grace the domestic scene yet doesn't mind getting up for the IPL. Fat $$$$.
Abdulla currently sports a fatter ass than Powar despite not appearing nearly as roly poly. I can't keep my eyes off him when he turns around after walking upto his mark. Its like a different train compartment following the engine.Fatter than Powar?
Maybe overrated in your mind where you set up weird expectations about him.Poor first day for Shaun Tait show | Cricket News | Indian Premier League 2010 | Cricinfo.com
I think Tait is quite overrated. He has surely a mental problem once batsmen start dominating him. Something Zaheer used to have when he was Tait's age.
Cricinfo ran a seperate article concentrating on his failure in a T20 game! I feel I am not the (only) one who feels he is "overrated" then. He is still value in LoIs but he has a long way to go before playing test matches.Maybe overrated in your mind where you set up weird expectations about him.
Everyone else knows he's a package of unplayable brilliance and rubbish fragility. See his 2007 WC and his murdering the Saffies vs his Tests against India, Ashes, last night etc. He is what he is.
Tait is the worlds fastest bowler and fans pay to see that alone, he brings in the crowds and good or bad there will be entertainment.Maybe overrated in your mind where you set up weird expectations about him.

Tait will never come close to Test matches. Fully expect him to retire from first class within the next year (not that he plays). Given the style of bowler he is and his fitness/injury problems, it makes sense for him to remain a specialist short-form bowler.Cricinfo ran a seperate article concentrating on his failure in a T20 game!
