Barath out on 35 after being dropped on about 10. Another turgid innings too. Looks absolutely terrible in one day cricket at this stage of his career; showing it pays to pick players who actually do well in one day cricket domestically.

Really, really enjoying this series for some reason. Moreso than any ODI series in ages.

Yeah AWTA, but I always enjoy lower-standard one day cricket a lot more ODIs between the top international teams, as a contest anyway. The middle overs are always so much more relevant, and you can appreciate a batsman building an innings slowly without knowing deep down that it's probably doing more harm than good. A boundary can be enjoyed as a potentially momentum-swinging occurance and good hitting at the death is to be admired rather than just expected. One day cricket just lends itself to this sort of standard a lot more. There's just been a good contest between bat and ball all series, which is all that's needed to make an attractive product. It's been quite intense too.

Maruma is a strange bowler. He doesn't bowl leg-breaks, just a googly and a seam up delivery.

Best wicket of the series for batting and the Windies still have no idea how to combat the Zim spinners. Promoting Ramdin was a ridiculous decision. Get your best batsman in early i.e. Bravo and at least he has a few shots for the spinners.

Haha, I have actually seen Maruma bowl a leggie before; he does possess it. It's a rare variation for him though.

The West Indies batted well at the end....

Gayle opened the batting, and gave the guys a good platform. Barath did okay, but struggled in the first part of his innings, and never really pushed on. He scored his 36 from twice as many balls, which is really not good enough in an ODI. Shiv once again played a good innings, but what's the point of Ramdin batting at four?

Deonarine should've batted there, and Ramdin should've come in after Bravo and Pollard, not before....

Even though their contributions were small, Deo, Bravo and Pollard took the Windies to a total they can defend.
