Exactly, so what Chappelli said so. I don't see the big deal. It was a relevant point (IMO) when he raised it and he said what was in his mind, like all of us do. He didn't force or take away Tendulkar's right to retire. That his article is being brought after 3 years to ridicule him is quite ridiculous, IMO.Another thing I would like to point out to Sanz, Ian Chappell said it. So what the ****. Read Amit Varma's post in the blog post you linked to. As Amit says, and I said, Tendulkar has the right to decide when to retire not you or I. READ FFS.
If you are going to compare Ian Healy with Ian Chappell then I guess I have nothing much to say.And I won't kiss the feet of Ian Chappell just because he gets paid to write on cricket. Ian Healy gets paid to comment on cricket but guess what, even you make more sense about the game than Healy. Again, Heh.
http://www.cricketweb.net/forum/2168538-post342.htmlYou have not countered my core point at all. Instead have resort to name calling. Play the argument, not the poster.
Well in that case Pratters should get the mickey too for calling Tendulkar a 'Choker' after he scored 175.Everyone has the right to say what he feels about another as long as it is not abuse. Chappell did that and he is entitled to his opinion. But at the same time he has the obligation too of having to face the consequences if he was off the mark. Here Chappelli was embarassasingly off mark and hence isgetting the mickey from Tendulkar fans, rightly deserved.
He choked AFTER he scored 175 IMO. You can't just accept some one can differ with you. You are constantly attacking me regarding the choking. Shut the **** up.Well in that case Pratters should get the mickey too for calling Tendulkar a 'Choker' after he scored 175.
Yeah you are a Tendulkar fan. The same person who says Tendulkar is selfish, money minded, is a choker and cannot play an inning under pressure. You have said all of that. And you are still a Tendulkar fan. Right. .(as a Tendulkar fan)
Don't just keep posting links (which is called link whoring, see I am not insulting you).
I am not here to judge what Pratters said because I haven't noticed the remark that Pratters made about Tendulkar.Well in that case Pratters should get the mickey too for calling Tendulkar a 'Choker' after he scored 175.
And IMO (as a Tendulkar fan) Chappelli was not off the mark when the statement was made.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH.If you are going to compare Ian Healy with Ian Chappell then I guess I have nothing much to say.
Yeah right. Internet blogs reflect public perception. If the internet is to be believed, Snakes on a Plane would have broken Avatar's record in the real world with the hype it generated on the internet. The internet does not reflect the real world. I am not telling you to judge public perception based on some thing. You are telling me to judge it based on blogs. Why the **** should I? I can determine my own mind.Again, who cares If you know Amit Varma or not, It is not about you or him. Amit's blog link was posted because a discussion took place on his blog about the comments Ian Chappell made.
I don't have to take your word on Public perception, I read enough to know what public perception is and those blogs, IMO, reflect it to the T.
I applied to be a mod last time and would love to be a mod. I try to follow forum rules by the letter and don't think have ever broken any forum rule. Don't see why I shouldn't be considered for a mod if a vacancy arises.Pratters, Sanz, your mod applications are rejected.
Yes, I am. You don't decide If I am a fan of Tendulkar's batting esp when you yourself have called him a choker.Yeah you are a Tendulkar fan. The same person who says Tendulkar is selfish, money minded, is a choker and cannot play an inning under pressure. You have said all of that. And you are still a Tendulkar fan. Right. .
Don't make accusations without proof. To be fair, this thread has examples to the contrary.
Ofcourse they do, It may not be a majority perception, but definitely perception of those that write in there. And the comments in those two blogs definitely and strongly represent the points raised by Chappelli.Yeah right. Internet blogs reflect public perception.
What do you mean it does not represent the real world ? If it doesn't really represent the real world then what are you arguing about ? Ian Chappell posted his comment on the Freaking INTERNET.If the internet is to be believed, Snakes on a Plane would have broken Avatar's record in the real world with the hype it generated on the internet. The internet does not reflect the real world.
