I'm struggling to see Franklin has to offer. He was nothing but cannon fodder, and is batting why too high in the order.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
he is a domestic specialist, do you get it now?
He's an average limited overs player, but pretty darn good at the long format. If he never gets a Test call up, it will be down to selectors taking ODI form as a basis because he's been ridiculously good in First Class this season, and it will be a damn shame.

Can anyone tell me why 5 overs equal 7 runs? Seems ****ing ridiculous. Surely 5 overs of a match are worth 20 odd at the very least.

I know. All I can think of is that it was especially harsh because we'd already lost 3 wickets when the rain came, but that doesn't seem very logical...

It has been a while since I read Duckworth Lewis. But I think it is because we were like 3 down - if we had lost less wickets then the equation would have worked out better for us I think.

This is by memory only so I could be wrong. You would think that they would make the adjustment based on the australian inning only but I think they take into account the second inning and how it is progressing.

commentators love discussing when to take the power play.
Well it's one of the few strategic moves that are not obvious choices (some of the time, particularly for the batting side) and yet at the same time are very visible.

Could be an interesting finish

Eden Park is a tiny ground and it only takes one batsman to get in
