West Indies going backwards more like.Zimbabwe slowly coming back?
Considering how easily Cremer could have dropped the ball, running 2 was a perfectly acceptable risk. It's not as though Viv Richards was the non-striker, and 2 off 1 ball is somewhat less pressure than 4 off 1.They ran 2 when the ball was in the air. Genius.
A knee-jerk reaction that I admit I felt too. But when you consider that Sarwan, DwBravo, Taylor and Edwards are out, it's not exactly the same West Indies team of the last few years. Oh, and DaBravo should come in for the washed up Chanders.West Indies going backwards more like.
Anybody who can name a more worthy wicketkeeper in the region deserves an examination. Fletcher? Baugh? Browne? Na.Anybody who defends Ramdin after that performance needs their head examining.
Agree. Also, I know he got out to it, I would pay to the shot Chanderpaul played to be dismissed. Beautiful.Considering how easily Cremer could have dropped the ball, running 2 was a perfectly acceptable risk. If it was a bit less beautiful it would likely have been six though. A bit more agricultural sense perhaps needed.Agree. Also, I know he got out to it, I would pay to the shot Chanderpaul played to be dismissed. Beautiful.
Depressing stuff for WI.
Chanders played well today but one could argue that he gave his wicket away when we needed him most!! , one good knock against Zimbabwe and suddenly his form over the past year is erased?!! nah i'm not fickle!!.A knee-jerk reaction that I admit I felt too. But when you consider that Sarwan, DwBravo, Taylor and Edwards are out, it's not exactly the same West Indies team of the last few years. Oh, and DaBravo should come in for the washed up Chanders.
Did you read his lips when Smith got out? I'm fairly certain I know what he said, but I don't want to repeat it on here, or anywhere.Gayle laying into the lower order.
Dude. Was a joke. Dude.Chanders played well today but one could argue that he gave his wicket away when we needed him most!! , one good knock against Zimbabwe and suddenly his form over the past year is erased?!! nah i'm not fickle!!.
Superstar Fletcher? As for the game, this defeat burns i must say, to see them celebrating like they've won something sickens me, Fletcher, Miller and Smith should be dropped for Saturday if it's possible, having Sarwan at 3rd would have won us this game today.
Back soonish...And what's happened with Jerome Taylor? Injured now, or suspended?
Struggled in 2 Tests against Australia, averaging 23, but averaged 45 against England, taking his average to 35 in 5 Tests played over the last 12 months. Then in ODi's he's averaging 57.75 in the last 12 months. Real shocking form right there. Bin him and bring in someone who's played 5 domestic games and not made many runs!Chanders played well today but one could argue that he gave his wicket away when we needed him most!! , one good knock against Zimbabwe and suddenly his form over the past year is erased?!! nah i'm not fickle!!.
I see you're defending your fellow Trinidadian Mr M!! , Jahmar Hamilton is very good with the gloves and certainly can't be any worse with the bat!!, Ramdin will NEVER be a decent batter imo, he just hasn't got the guts or skill for it.Anybody who can name a more worthy wicketkeeper in the region deserves an examination. Fletcher? Baugh? Browne? Na.
The presence of Smith is the most disconcerting thing. At least in his last incarnation he could bowl to a decent standard. Now he can't bowl, and is essentially used as a specialist pinch-hitter. The problem being that he has no concept of hitting straight.
