50/50 my arse. Will reply to the rest of it in the morning.
Nah, I won't.
We're not going to agree with one another anytime soon and it seems as though the rest of the people in this thread have had enough.
It's got to end sometime and now seems as good a time as any to agree to disagree.

Commentators really getting on my ****.

Oh really for *Lampard* from 10 yards out it's a miss?

Townsend stfu you complete and utter nilwit.

Yeah, he's said that twice for Fat Frank now.

He's a classically poor summariser, he really should be disappointed with himself....

Anonymous cowardly thug goes off.

2-1. Awaiting replay to see if the keeper made a horlicks of that one... Hmmm

Theo can't go now, IMHO. Love the kid, but he's lost form at exactly the wrong moment. Carrick's looked decent since he came on, which I dunno is good or bad. Clouds issue, I suppose.

Gotta give credit to Crouch too; might only score against crap sides (which Egypt aren't quite, but not much better, really. #17 in the world? Eff off), but thats not a bad trick to have anyway.

Norwood's on Fire
Not a bad trick - crucial in fact in the early stages of the WC, our group is chocker full of the sort of side he scores against, are potential R2 opponents fit that criteria as well

Wright-Phillips looked like he had absolutely no ball control at all when he came on. Ended up with an assist though and is pretty much between him and Lennon for the pacey right wing option.

Would rather take Phil Neville than Wes Brown to the WC.

Yeah, Crouch booked his place on the plane, and with his international record he has to go. 20 in 37 I read somewhere, stunning really,

Gerrard and Lampard cannot play together!!!!!!, how many times do we need to say that. Looked much better when Carrick came on.

Defoe can't start and not sure if he can go at all. Fairly poor.

Yet it's nice to have a World-class manager who can change it round and give the prima-donnas a kick up the arse at half-time, Shouldn't be needed, but it clearly is. Bet there was no Stevie-Gs or JTs in his team-talk, Fabio didn't look a happy bunny in that first half.

Oh and Milner has to go the World Cup too.

Yeah Milner should and will go.

Forgot this was even on to be honest, nothing inspires such indifference in me as an England friendly, am more likely to watch the West Indies v Zimbabwe series.

Milner's place already booked before tonight, IMHO. Covers pretty much every midfield position and both full-back spots. TBH I wouldn't mind seeing him get a go at RB before the tournament starts. Brown's shocking against anyone decent and Johnson not exactly the soundest defensively anyway.

Yeah international week is just dull, still started to get excited about the world cup, have booked the final of work already (not that England will be in it but that is not a problem for me) and a good thing to because Shreck 17 and Twilight New Moon whatever the third one is called are out that week, will drop down to one **** for the whole tournament, have 'uni work' as an excuse.

I don't think I will get excited about the tournament itself until the domestic season is over, particularly as the premiership should have an exciting climax this year with any luck. No doubt I will enjoy the tournament though, as I always do, and will probably get caught up in the England excitement, just like I always do, even though I've said that I won't.

Forgot where you worked, so was wondering why you were booking a weekend off untill I got to the end. But you've done me a massive favour, as you've reminded me to book the Champions League Final off, as thats a Saturday this year (22nd May)

Yeah I probably will too even though that is not why I love the world cup. Not much left for me this domestic season save hoping bees don't get sucked into a relegation fight which they really shouldn't be. Want Arsenal to win the league as well and it should be good finnish but still cannot wait for the world cup, certainly my favourite sporting event outside cricket.

Yeah, I also enjoy the world cup for totally different reasons. Even though I get caught up in the excitement about England I find following them is a painful and strenuous exercise, rarely bringing any me any enjoyment. The only time I can really recall enjoying an England match at a major tournament is when they beat Argentina in 2002, really enjoyed that match.

worked the final last year actually.

There is a rumour that we are actually going to show some world cup games at the cinema this year, strikes me as a rather odd idea, especially as we don't have a license to serve alcohol at the moment.
