Absolutely. One of the worst threads on this forum is "Milestones". I've only ever posted in it to mock - I cannot fathom why someone is, or should be, proud of the number of posts they've made on an internet forum.

I dont see any point in hiding the post counts, my point was if a 5000+ post member call Australians racists and the mods ignore it but issue threats when a new members do the same you are bound to get upset posters. Just treat all posters the same regardless of how long they have been posting.

Last one to act/react always ends up getting the stick. It is not unique to CW, instigators always get away, those who react end up suffering.

That is something we veterans have mastered on CW.

Post counts are irrelevant. Can't remember the last time I looked at them. Generally just look at join dates. Keep em.

Milestones is pointless but I'd also say it's a harmless bit of fun on the most part. I don't think we have much in the way of "I'm gonna post x posts to get to y milestone tonight" round here so I don't think they do a lot of harm. I wouldn't be that bothered if they went either, I just don't think it'll make a difference to the bigger picture.
