Great bowling from New Zealand. 275 is an ordinary score at this ground and we should win it.
Certainly given themselves a chance. I honestly thought 350+ was on the cards earlier when Aust started the way they did coupled with the absence of Vettori

Just from watching this game I'd say that Australia need to improve massively before they can compete with a world class side like South Africa. The whole team mentality needs to progress and move back in 21st Century ODI cricket and not regress back to the 80s.

A few things:
- Permanently opening with Watson and Warner/Haddin as per the aggressor plus ultra aggressor theory (luckily Marsh is injured at the moment)
- Not treating the middle overs as an accumulation or singles phase
- Returning to a specialist rather than bits and pieces selection policy
- Abolishing the mentality that a 250-300 score is a good one on any pitch against any attack

South Africa aren't better than Australia in ODIs

You mean the SA that are ranked so far below Oz as to be almost out of sight

Honestly don't reckon SA are as much better than NZ at ODI's atm as you're implying with that statement

Are these the same Saffies that just got thrashed in India?

Our team isn't perfect but we're the best side in the world atm because of our good balance (and India's inability to find a decent one-day bowler) and our recent results prove it.

Just let inbox say whatever and leave him alone, before he ruins this thread aswell. Kthx.

He's not ruining the thread, he's expressing his opinion on the weaknesses of the Australian ODI team. Hardly trolling or anything.

Ingram is a walking wicket, bring back Vincent.
Think the selections apply for the first two games only, so clearly If Ingram continues to fail, Watling's the obvious replacement, especially with the way he batted in the domestic one-day final.

Agree Vincent's unlucky to be out of favour with the selectors though. He's off to play county cricket I think.

Haha, really? I dare you to search his recent posts. It is for mine trolling, or at least spamming. And I don't want yet another Australian thread that turns into i24 vs the people.

But it doesn't need to be though. If people disagree with his view, they can debate it with him, or they can ignore his post. But I personally feel Australia were poor in the middle overs today, and inbox says so as well.

I hardly think the issues are as drastic as him, but playing that specific post only, I agree with a few things he said.
