Great stuff from Morgan, England were fairly awful but that is why we are fun.
Shame for Bangladesh, did get unlucky with some decisions.
The decisions went against us at the weekend, swings and roundabouts, still as you say it's the way it goes but who knows what would have happened? PheeeeeeeeeeewGreat knock Morgan.
Shakib, so many ****house decisions.
England were lucky with umpiring, but that's the way it goes.
There was always plenty to upbeat about!!Never in doubt.Morgan in a league of his own out there. Would have been sickening if he'd not won the game with that innings.
In defence of Shafiul, Morgan makes the margin of error so small for a bowler especially when he's in that kind of form and well set. He can hit the ball anywhere either with innovative, imaginative strokes, or with powerfully struck conventional shots. So so difficult to bowl to.****ing terrible over from Shafiul there. Not sure what was to be gained from having him bowl to be honest. One of the spinners would at least have been in with a show of removing Tredwell. Poor decision from the captain, and an ever poorer over from the bowler.
Thionk Morgan would have taken spin bowlers, quick bowlers, any kind of bowler to task in those dying overs, but I do appreciate what you're saying.Bowling pace bowlers for the sake of doing so in a powerplay just made no sense.
You bowl whoever is less likely to go for runs or more likely to win the match with a wicket.
Spin was the answer.
The problem was Morgan had just hit Razzak, their second best spinner for plenty in the previous over, and Shafiful had done ok the over before that. It suggested bowling a fast bowler was a better option.Bowling pace bowlers for the sake of doing so in a powerplay just made no sense.

That may be so, but giving him three full tosses to dispatch perhaps wasn't the answer. In defence of Shafiul, Morgan makes the margin of error so small for a bowler especially when he's in that kind of form and well set. Haha, huge call. Mahmudullah took 1/12 in his last 3 overs. Absolute stupidity to take him off.Thionk Morgan would have taken spin bowlers, quick bowlers, any kind of bowler to task in those dying overs, but I do appreciate what you're saying.
Wet ball/trying to bowl yorkers = full tosses. Not surprising. That may be so, but giving him three full tosses to dispatch perhaps wasn't the answer.
The countless Bangladeshi matches where the game has been thrown away due to bowling fast bowlers, including Shafiul, at the death, however, suggests it was not.The problem was Morgan had just hit Razzak, their second best spinner for plenty in the previous over, and Shafiful had done ok the over before that. Probably. Its the past now though tbh. Shakib captained very well up till that point. The countless Bangladeshi matches where the game has been thrown away due to bowling fast bowlers, including Shafiul, at the death, however, suggests it was not.

Have to disagree. Razzak only bowled 4 overs and got 2 wickets in his spell. They needed one more wicket until they were into the allrounders but Shakib took him off and bowled the part-timers Islam and Mahmudullah. Shakib and Razzak should have been bowling in tandem for a while to make sure the job was done. Either that or bring on someone who isn't a part-timer like Shuvo and let him bowl his full 10. Pressure was key and you can't let someone like Morgan to settle.Probably. Its the past now though tbh. Shakib captained very well up till that point.

The Powerplay isn't 12 overs long. Razzak could have been bowled another 3 and Shakib only bowled 1 in total at that time. They had to keep Razzak and Shakib back for the powerplay.
