Valencia was ace today, Berbatov damn good too, and brilliant header by Rooney (about all he did). Carrick was ****ing woeful though

Rooney wasn't that flash either, apart from the header. Agree with you about Carrick though, he was gash.

Onya Rafa, not usually one of his fans, but anyone putting the boot into big Sam deserves some plaudits. Particulary in the way that he has done it on this occasion. Massive heh @ him saying "we do our talking on the pitch" though, irony not lost here.

Missing the point. Rafa does not initiate any of these exchanges. His response was to Allardyce's about the way Liverpool have been playing. If you knew the bull**** Big Sam kicked up for Rafa about hand gestures last year, you'd understand Rafa's response.

Yes quite. Am well aware of the Rafa hand gestures last year. Not sure why anyone got so worked up about those. Still doesn't detract from the fact that what he said he is entirely hypocritiacal, if someone what amusing.

I think it's fair to say one team is performing at or above expectation this year, while the other has gone markedly backwards.

When you have half your squad out for chunks of the year, that's expected. Big Sam made that statement to antagonise, he got one back. It's as simple as that.
