*Official* South Africa in India

Just saw the score card. Good to see Praveen Kumar back in the scheme of things.
You missed an edge of the seat thriller .... Ind unearthed a couple of all-rounders (for SA) :p .... May be Langeveldt time would come too in this series

Awesome effort from Parnell and Steyn. Though that was some of the worst death bowling I've ever seen. Zaheer, Kumar and three frontline spinners should be India's gameplan at the WC. Or if Zaheer is out, get another a spinner in there.

As for South Africa, they might as play Duminy if Botha can no longer get through 10 overs. Also, Albie out for younger brother. They need the bowling.

What a performance by the umpires. Three middle aged guys (with jet black dyed hair and moustaches) tripple handedly beat the whole SA team of 11 players!

Well done. And they have proved themselves to be patriotic and proud Indians in the process.

I don't understand why some people are still allowed in CC when everything they post is garbage...
Moderators around here are extremely optimistic types. Seeing how HMas has graduated from one line to two, might be hoping for some kind of intelligible point from him/her one of these days.

That's placing too much faith in evolution and in our own lifespans for mine, but can't fault the mods for having a glass-is-half-full outlook in general.

What exactly is the point of Albie Morkel?

And?????????

3 WCs in a row

2 CTs in a row

No.1 in the world for 10 years or more

The rest is is irrelevant
Far out Social, you are frustrating at times. I know Australia have been ****ing awesome for over a decade!

What did your original post mean? You came here and said "is it any surprise Australia is #1?" As if this match clearly showed why South Africa and India (2 and 3 in the world) were crap. Why, what about this match was so relevant to that? Because the EXACT same thing India did here, Australia did less than 4 months ago!

Yes Australia is the best ODI team at the moment. 12 months ago they were definitely not.

Fwiw, I still think we're going to be vulnerable at the WC in India.

South Africa 180 for 7 after 35 overs, needing a further 119 from a mere 90 balls. Some choke that is. 8-)

Though no surprise, that is the same forum where most posters believe Imran Nazir is a better batsman than Sehwag.

At the moment there is no point. Shoulder surgery has rendered the bowling useless and South Africa will never give him the opportunity to prove he can bat top six. This time last year alongside JP and Botha, they were the side’s best one day cricketers. How times have changed, JP's been dropped, Botha can't string 10 overs together without the doosra and Albie is perilously close to becoming a 20/20 specialist.

South Africa might as well not turn up to the WC if they don’t find a spinner.

Where's Van De Merwe?
In the squad but bowling has gone to pot. Just bowling onside darts nowadays and has struggled domestically. Shame as he had a fantastic first few months for South Africa, culminating at the 20/20 WC where he and Botha tied the Indians up in knots.

Two MotM awards for Jadeja now; didn't bet on him this time though. :p

Reckon he's pretty under-rated at the moment as I said before, but I don't really think he should be playing if he's not batting in the top seven.
