*Official* England and England A vs Pakistan & Pakistan A in the UAE

King Pietersen

Haha, what a player. Wasn't even looking, looks up the ball's delivered and he still smacks it for 4. Looks in real form now Pietersen, cannot wait to see him in Bangladesh in this sort of form, should get that Test average back over 50.

Poor shot from Denly, as was the previous ball when he could so easily have been bowled. Although I do believe it is far too early to judge him as useless.
Just as it was far too early for him ever to have played international cricket.

As for the future, who knows? but right now he cant be in the team.

KP the 2nd leading run scorer in T20i history, and has the best strike rate on the list. What a player, didn't realise his T20i record was quite that good.

Perhaps it was a tad too early, but tbh I would persevere with him, especially in the ODI's where he has a little more time to settle in before unloading his crunching array of strokes. An ODI average of just under 30 is no disgrace for a talented youngster, and with time I do think that will improve a fair amount.

On another note, KP hitting it sweetly today, he played second fiddle yesterday, don't thkink that's in his mind today.

Another huge hit from Pietersen, looks in ominous form, and now has a free hit. Just need Trott to up his scoring rate now.

Quality running, good plan from KP to run Trott out though, Morgan's far more likely to make the most of the last 4 overs.

Another Trott and KP mis-understanding, Trott did the right thing in sacrificing himself as KP is in tip-top form. There was no way KP was turning and trying to scrabble back in.

Trott hasn't done us too many favours today - 16 overs gone and he's still trundling along at 4.5 an over.

I can't see that it's going to be easy for us to massively up the tempo against these two juding by their averages in this form of the game.

EDIT
Sounds like KP's done a Beefy to Trott's Boycott.

His List A record is crap, his ODI record is crap, his T20i record is worse than crap and he looks like crap at the crease. Apart from that he looks like a winner.

He needed another solid-spectacular 18 months before being selected as he isnt good enough at the moment.

Eoin Morgan. WAG. Turned that over into a good 'un. 150 on here.

Bugger, Pietersen gone. Good delivery from Ajmal. Luke Wright up the order?

Wretched lbw decision to remove KP.

I enjoyed the commentators praising Trott for his "gem of an innings" shortly before he was out.
