I'm fine with Sehwag, he's quite underrated, and I think him and Tendulkar both should bowl about 10 overs each today.

Zaheer is out, and I don't think Ishant will take a wicket, so it'll be spin x4.

Harbhajan>Sehwag. Although it seems Dhoni was just fooling around for one over anyway.

Don't see Ishant doing much damage either.

That's gotta hurt you to say that SS.

Well obviously, but he shouldn't bowl unchanged without rewards all day....rotate Tendulkar and Sehwag in. Sehwag flights it more than Harbhajan and Tendulkar spins it more than Mishra - it'll provide enough of a change to create chances for all of them.

You have no idea.

Dhoni and Kirsten have been pretty poor in this series from the strategy PoV. The team selection has been bad throughout the series. Right from picking Saha as a specialist bat to not going in with 5 bowlers for this game. If Sree had been playing, Ind would still have had an attacking bowler .... Dhoni's field placements have been poor too

If Ind lose this series, as I had said before, I would be tempted to ask for Dhoni and Gary's resignation. They have done a good job in the past but the strategy here has been quite poor. In fact it looks like it's good performance by a selected few that's making his them look good

Saha was not Dhoni or Kirsten's fault - that's the selectors. There was no other batsman in the squad for them to pick.

With regard to this game, the selection has been appropriate. And I don't want to be Pakistan who find someone to scapegoat when things go wrong which are completely beyond their control. Dhoni and Kirsten got India to #1, and India got Steyned in the first Test. It happens.

Dhoni has lost 1 Test match....ever - and it just happened to be the match where Steyn channeled Malcolm Marshall. If it's not the height of stupidity to ask for a resignation over that, I don't know what is.

One series loss to their toughest opponent in the world is a hilarious reason for sacking the coach and captain who have performed so well up to that point of their tenures.

And not a day goes by without Hashim thanking Allah for it.
Wonder what happened when Pakistan lost in Australia via hilarious catch dropping methods, Allah didn't insha hard enough I guess. :p

One thing that really gets my goat is mentioning God in the context of sport. If there is a God (there isn't), I doubt he cares much if Kamran Akmal takes a catch.

I am not talking abt selecting Saha in the squad but in the playing 11. If you run out of specialists bats, you select a bowler duh. you don't play a non specialist batsmen as a specialist for the sake for having an extra batsman. It showed his inflexibility

I am not going by the result of the first test. Ind could still have lost but am speaking from strategy and tactics PoV. You can have a bunch of poor players but you can still have good strategy and positive attitude. On the other hand, you can have some of the best players but still fall short on planing and strategy

In this test too, we needed to go in with 5 bowlers, esp considering we are chosing b/w Vijay or Badri and an extra bowler. Esp considering, it's a must win game for Ind

I am not debating this but giving my opinion. I am sure there are folks who would see my opinion as going over board and come up with stuff like how could you ask for that from a captain that made Ind #1. There will be a few who would say one series loss and we have ppl shouting abt resignation, etc. I have heard and said that all. In fact, I don't expect many to see my PoV because I have a tendency to think out of the box. I can see both sides of the story and am calling a spade a spade

Amla.. go out FFS... you have scored enough runs in the series..... get some rest... put your feet up and watch Duminy and co bat.... they need the batting practice not you.
Very selfish of Amla here :p

My latest theory is that HMas has actually launched a denial of service attack on Allah's network, that's why things are so messed up down here.

Too geeky?
