*Official* South Africa in India

Well, that was a ridiculously fast little session. 1 over and it's all done. Not that I'm complaining, but surely this isn't dangerous?

The result aside, with Boucher almost sure to be back for the next test, could this be a shootout between Prince & Duminy. AB de Villiers could even be dragged in if Prince & Duminy both do very well.

I dunno why, but whenever I see India threatened with rain the first thing I think of is it's justice for the first match in England a couple of years back. Doesn't matter how many times they've been screwed over since then, that's the first thing that comes to mind.
I like to think of that England match as justice for 2004 Chennai match against Aussies :p
Where India were chasing 220 on the final day but it rained on the final day.

All of that is available in Delhi and Mumbai too.

Certainly in Delhi ,but in mumbai they have slightly altered forms.

Factor in bad light then South Africa have around 80 overs to bat. If Prince and Duminy could play off-spin then it wouldn't be such a tough ask given the conditions, Zaheer being injured and Sharma being next to useless.

Pratters has obviously not experienced Mumbai food beyond passing if he's naming those foods as examples of why Kolkata food is supposedly > Mumbai food.

Excuse me is it not a cricket discussion thread? 8-)

I have a very bad feeling this will be drawn. :(
Moisture in the air should also stop pitch deteriorating at same rate it would if it were hot and sunny so things are looking up for SA - not that they deserve it as they have been comprehensively outplayed for all bar 2 and a bit sessions

Yeah, definitely a 50/50 right now.

The difference between a win or loss may just be Kallis' wicket just before bad light today.

Would not have been confident needing 8 wickets including Kallis.

I'm nothing if not optimistic. There's a reason we've kept Duminy in there & Prince is the king of gritting it out.
