As does Steyn; both have been savaged by Sehwag in this match.for a bowler with so much talent he bowls a lot of '4' balls hopefully not another Harmison in the making.
Steyn '4' balls are diffferent he is pitching them up hoping for a nick when there is no swing it can look cannon fodder Morkel's 4 balls are just plain bad bowling. As does Steyn; both have been savaged by Sehwag in this match.
It's probably a matter of length. Steyn does pitch it up and if it's not swinging batsmen use his pace and help it along the way to the fence. Morkel tends to bowl too short when he strays and it sits up nicely for the batsmen.Steyn '4' balls are diffferent he is pitching them up hoping for a nick when there is no swing it can look cannon fodder Morkel's 4 balls are just plain bad bowling.
He has the talent to get bounce; he does not currently have the talent to control the ball all that well. That's why, to date, he's still not really all that much of a bowler.for a bowler with so much talent he bowls a lot of '4' balls hopefully not another Harmison in the making.
I think he has the potential for good control, the wrist just tends to let him down occasionally. He has the talent to get bounce; he does not currently have the talent to control the ball all that well. That's why, to date, he's still not really all that much of a bowler.
Ooh, not too sure about that. Bowling at consistently 90mph with bounce will be a handful for any batsman to deal with, if he possesses good accuracy. He has looked a top rung bowler in the few occasions he has managed to get a good beehive pitch map. When you are bowling quick and bouncing it, batsmen will make the most of any movement, there is.In any case even with good control and his bounce he still won't amount to that much, he needs to do something with the ball. That isn't, BTW, to say that he can't, just that, again, he doesn't currently possess the skill to do very much.
An interesting point of view, it must be said.It might be a handful and batsmen might not fancy it much, but they won't get out to it all that often.
If there's a modicum of sideways movement, though, of course, it'll be potentially effective. And not to mention that when a deck is uneven any such bowler will be devastating.
