I like the concept, but the tournaments often led to turd PPVs, IMO. How many of the KOTR PPVs were great shows? 93, 98 (only because of the main events, not the tournament). There were historic moments but a hell of a lot of filler, for me.

Eugh. WWE's been rubbish since The Rock and Stone Cold left, Undertaker cut his hair short, Kurt Angle went bald and Triple H turned mad political. You're better off going and watchly Humphrey Bear or High Five, it's slightly less violent - but only slightly. TNA is where it's at.

Not as long as what it was. But yeah, I'd still like WWE if I were 6 years old.

Real wrestlers > Supposed fan favourites that get booed (ie John Cena)

LOL Ben, why come into the thread and start trolling? Is it because you love doing it but don't want to get banned again so are shying away from CC?

Anyway, you've presented us with generic IWC argument 101 so it's not worth my time

It's true though. WWE's pathetic booking turned me off wrestling.
Yeah, instead they should book a replica of another company's screwjob and bring in car crash booking. There is ZERO direction to the booking in TNA. I watched the go-home show to their PPV last night and I think the PPV was mentioned three times. That's clever booking.

What have WWE got? The Punjai Playboy, The Great Khali? An idiotic irishmen called Sheamus? A stupid and pointless Raw Guest Host scenario? A stale DX gimmick? A super-hero gangsta called John Cena who only appeals to kids under the age of 13? The whole structure of WWE is too non-serious to watch.

Why mention Khali, a guy way down the pecking order?

Sheamus, well the jury is doubt, but at least he's getting a crack, people have moaned abot young talent not getting a push for years, well there you have it. The Guest Host isn't always great but has moved into the background lately and it's been used well. DX -plenty agree, plenty clearly don't - it sells, BIG time. That's aside from the point though as DX is part of a Shawn Michaels storyline at the minute that is fantastic, and booked brilliantly so far. Cena doesn't just appeal to under-13s, whatever you might think. As with DX, he has his detractors, but he's a consumate pro, his matches rarely disappoint and his mic work can be outstanding, like last Monday.

This is before you mention the likes of Punk and Jericho who are both awe-inspiring, the hot Legay storyline, the closure on Bret-Vince that's coming up, Batista's fascinating recent workings.

I'm not one of these people who'll defend everything WWE does, but you chose a strange time to make your post as in the lead-up to Mania this year they are giving us GREAT television, and the difference between Raw/Smackdown and Impact at the minute is like the gap between the great Australia team of the 90 and 00s to Bangladesh.

Khali was World Champion during WWE's downfall.
Sheamus is being pushed because he is HHH's gym bud.
If Cena doesn't only appeal to 13 year olds then why does he get booed out of arenas?
DX is more then less a kiddy thing - doesn't really appeal to me.
Y2J and Punk, the good of the bunch are underbooked. Didn't Punk get jobbed to K-Kwik or something? And Jericho is always made to look poor.

Woah! Don't diss Sheamus!

Not sure about that. The reason that TNA is gripping to me, is the reality that lies within it. If Hall misses a step, he'll actually be gone, if Hogan/Bischoff screw up the booking, TNA could go under, WWE is too safe for such to occur. TNA is fresh, got some good wrestling and has some interesting characters.

And Jericho is always made to look poor.
He beat the Undertaker with the Codebreaker at this week's Smackdown.

Been getting a massive pop from more or less every crowd for a while now actually.

Khali being champ was dire. It was what, two or three years ago, it's recognised that it was a mistake, so what's your point? Might as well talk about how bad WM1 was to help your argument...

Cena doesn't get booed out of arenas. He gets a mixed reaction...except in the last few weeks where the Cena chants have been off the charts.

DX doesn't appeal to plenty -that's fine - doesn't make it worthless...and as I said, it's at the centre of some great storytelling.

Y2J is set to main event Mania with Edge and is basically trusted with everything Vince wants achieving. Want a title elevating? Who does he give the belt to? Oh and you must have missed CM Punk's title reigns last year and his constant mic time. As for bringing up his mini-feud with K-Kwik...ironic really given that he is a former TNA world champion

What do you mean if Hogan/Bischoff screw up the booking. They have done nothing but for the last six weeks.
