16/5? Wats wrong with Scottish cricket. 5 years back they were the best Associate nation remember? Hope the same doesn't happen to Ireland 5 years from now!

Good job by the Dutch, but I can't help feeling a bit sorry for Kenya. They really have let it slip in the last few years.

The hard work starts now. Two wins needed against Afghanistan and probably Ireland.

Arg...the dutch making it harder then usual and losing against UAE which they do every tournament...problem is that this time the Emirates are actually contenders so that made it even more sucky :(

Or not, if UAE beat Ireland and Afghanistan :) .

that would still need Holland to win vs Ireland...which tbh we don't do that often (almost never recently)

NFI McCallum c Botha b Johnston 0 (2 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00

how appropriate...6/4 chasing 137 in 14 overs.

Scottish cricket
Yeah, it's because they needed to score the runs in 15 overs to progress. And Connell/Johnston are pretty lethal at this level (Connell averages 10 in T20Is).

Afghanistan were off to a decent start with 30/0 after 4, but now it's 32/3 :) .

And 89/6 after 16 overs. Batsmen 7&8 are in, so it's fair to say we've got the Afghans driven in the corner. I'm confident we'll keep the score reasonably low. However, the Afghans seem to keep things tidy when bowling...

Hmm, we've kept things very tidy for most of the time, but the last two overs, he Afghans have lifted the score to 128. Still, that seems not that many!

However, Afghanistan have batted first in all matches so far, not scored too many runs so far, yet managed to win them all, so far.

-The Irish were set a target of 140, but were bundled out for 126.
-The Scots were set a target of 132, but only collected 117.
-The Yankees were set a target of 136, but were restricted to 106.

None of the teams managed to make 129.....

0.3 Shapoor Zadran to AN Kervezee, no run. DROPPED! Edged to Shahzad's right, he flies across, but the ball pops out as he hits the ground. The Afghans ty to insist it was a catch, but the umpires aren't having any.

Interesting...

Given the lack of attention to these matches, we probably will never see a re-run of it..

Anyway, Kervezee makes very good use of his tiem at the crease :) . 25 from 14 now.

Yep, good start. With the batting line-up to come, they should etc.

From cricinfo:
8.6 Mohammad Nabi to van Bunge, no run, straighter one, forward defence, beaten, nearly got an edge to it.

From cricket europe:
8.6 Mohammad Nabi to DLS van Bunge, no run. Plays and misses, Shahzad whips the bails off.

Right............

Yeah, in one over we got into the hole and out of it again.

Right now, we're making things a bit messy, to collect the last few runs. Thank the cricket gods for RtD! I trust the will make thigns right!
Edit: We should also thank the Afghanis for their wides!
