Naah, I've seen comical lower league defending where a defender has ended up basically lying on the floor in front of a player through a slip or a slide and unable to move once they're down there. Are you suggesting that if a player then runs over them that because they're on the floor it's a foul?
An obstruction is an obstruction imo, if the player who ends up tripping has no way of otherwise getting around the guy on the floor and genuinely trips over him, it's a definite foul in my book.

A guy on the floor is not a wall though. You saw Grosso change direction to deliberately go over Neill, when his weight was going to take him round Neill anyway and could've tried to shoot.

Yeah, he only went to ground when he realised he'd played the ball too far out in front of him in trying to go around Neill and another Aussie defender was going to get there first. He looked up and then decided it was time to hit the deck.
