Ponting's innings tonight was fantastic, especially towards the end.

Although it will not go down as one of his greatest innings' of all time, it was awesome seeing him really stamp his authority and show the Windies who is boss. He could have just as easily plodded around singles and won it within 30-35 overs, but instead took it upon himself to give them somewhat of a smacking.

Has looked a class above in most of his ODI knocks this summer. A big one is surely around the corner. Just hitting them very, very sweetly right now. Some of his shots through mid wicket have been glorious.

I think Watson can be got at, he's highly emotional and i think the top guys like Steyn and Anderson would intimidate him, when he gets confident he plays silly shots too which is why he never got his first 100 against us, Bollinger doesn't look all that fast to me, and looks like he can get frustrated easily, he'll be tested when he meets batsman who can play lefties well, but as i said those are just MY OPINIONS, if you wanna disagree then fine, we'll see when they face the top guys.
I would like to dedicate tonights win to WindieWeather.

What "improvement" though? did you see the first test against the Aussies Mike? and furthermore although we put up a fight we still lost 2-0 at the end of the day, it's high time some of these "seniors" were made accountable for the shambles we've been seeing recently, lord knows we've had some dark days but at least Lara barely let us down with his own performances when he was captain, Chris has been shocking in these last two matches, and the first test against along with these two ODI'S have been amoungst the most embarrassing displays i've ever seen from us, and all of them have happened under his leadership,

i'm not buying the excuses anymore Mike, Caribbean cricket needs a bloody shake up and if it means dumping a few of these "star names" then so be it, we're losing with them in the side anyway.
Did you see the three-Test series under Lara, which we lost 3-0?

Did you see the five-Test series under Adams, which we lost 5-0?
I saw them, and that was the true definition of 'diabolical'....

This three-Test series was an improvement, compared to those tours. The Windies are not suddenly going to become world-beaters.

Correct me if I`m wrong, by all means, I kind of remember that Watson was player of the series in the Champions Trophy and that tournament included all the major cricketing nations.

Any player can be got at, you just need to push the right buttons.

As far as Bolly being exposed by batsmen who can play lefties I guess we will have to wait a while because the Windies certainly dont have such a batsman. In fact they dont have any serious batsmen at all on this tour.

Has Bollinger got 5 wickets hauls against England, South Africa or India? you give me a "call back" with the answer please!!

Furthermore Watson had never even got a 100 until he played Pakistan the other day too!!, that's why i said he's a flat track bully, lol at the Aussies getting emotional!!.

Hello.

Bollinger hasn't played againt them, custard nuts, save one test vs SA (his first). That's why I said "in the various forms they've played". He's been fine, and will do fine against them imo.

For his part Watson did fine in the Ashes as an opener too, and has scored well in ODIS & T20s the past 12 months or so vs everyone. FWIW, I don't think Pakistan's attack in Melbourne was all that bad tbh. Their catching on the other hand...

Yeah and both were replaced when it was obvious they wasn't good captains, hopefully Gayle will have the some fate because the man simply isn't a good leader Mike.

Erm i already mentioned Bollingers debut against South Africa where he was average 8-) , Watson never got a 100 before this summer either, so as i said lets wait and see how they handle the big boys.

Come on i'm talking about a serious test series against one of the top dogs not the "champions trophy" , i understand you Aussies rate them highly, and lord knows you needed a few new faces to come through but until they show they can stand up to the other big guys it's naive to call them "top class" right now imo.

So we have the big boys and Australia are the little boys, does that make the WI girls?.
Have i said you Aussies were the "little boys"? 8-) i mean lets be real here i know it's hard for you guys to accept but you aren't number one anymore  , your 4th best IMO, as for the Windies, yes we're rubbish!!, TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW!!, in the next three years though i think we'll shock a lot of people.

Australia are number 1 in ODI and number 3 in tests. Have been for quite a while now.

The problem you have is you are failing to accept that Australia are happy with their progress, we didnt expect to be playing this well but Ponting has done a wonderful job and has the team ahead of predictions.

We dont claim to be number one, Put up some posts where any Australian player has claimed we are number one. They can only beat the teams they play and they have done that. Its only you who thinks that the Australians claim to be number one and then you get on your high horse and abuse them for it. Its all rather funny.

Well as we are currently playing an ODI series then actually we are the world No1 side.
No we dont have a problem with other nations being ranked above us but we do have a problem with supporters from a country, whose national team would struggle to beat our U19s or our womens team, hanging **** on our players out of nothing more than petty jealousy.

I wasn't talking about the ODI's and you know it, In reality you were beaten by England and then England went and got a very good draw in South Africa so therefore most people would place them above your lot right now, and excuse me where have i "abused people"? 8-) i make some factual points about Bollinger and Watson and you and your aussie pals can't seem to accept it, if you lot didn't come steaming in all upset then this debate wouldn't be happening.
