Yeah, I forgot Asif. I feel he'll be hindered by his side though.

Too early to call for Roach IMO.

Have a feeling Bollinger and Steyn are going to be the two standouts this decade.
Imo Bollinger has benefited from facing weak opposition thus far, it's one thing doing well against a weak Pakistan batting line-up and West Indies reserves and it's another thing doing it in South Africa, in the ashes when your side is in trouble and of course against India, lets see how he does against the top sides first, personally i think he'll get found out.

Not really judging it so much on their Test careers thus far; just on what I know about them. Bollinger just seems to do all the right things and oozes class. He really looks the leader of the pack that is gunning for the #1 Test spot.

Indeed. I'd be stunned if Bollinger plays againts a strong side & doesn't do well.

They really need to change that top order. Morton and Dowlin weren't going to score runs today either.
Hinds and Nash need to come in for Morton and Dowlin....

The 'youngsters' Deonarine and Simmons aren't exactly setting the world on fire, though.
Good to see Smith coming good with the bat, finally.

Do you know what "inconsistent" means? 8-) the man is a clown it's as simple as that, it's all about what "mood" he's in on the day, nothing else and more often than not we're paying the price for it, i'd take Barath over that idiot anyday of the week because he actually puts some thought into what he's doing at the crease.
That 'idiot' Gayle has a better record as Test captain than Lara, Adams, Hooper, Walsh, or any other captain since richie Richardson....
8-)
The problem with the Windies is that this inexperienced lineup is over-reliant on him right now.

The guy is simply too inconsistent to lead this side IMO, yes he can have his good days but more often than not he's out for something like 15 runs wheather it's in a test or ODI, he's a joke.
If Gayle is too inconsistent to lead the side, who would you have? Ganga?
:)

I don't care what he's done "as captain" Mike the guy simply can't be trusted now IMO, how the hell is he gonna claim "we'll win 4-1" and perform so atrociously himself? i'm sorry to be so blunt but excuses like yours is the reason why we haven't moved forward for years.. "oh he done well a few tests ago so he has to stay in", until we put pressure on these "stars" to perform they'll continue to take the piss out of the great WI shirt.

Until we have a settled side who are capable of putting up a decent fight it probably doesn't matter who's captain, but to answer the question i'd give it to Dwayne Bravo because whether it's with the bat or bowling more often than not he turns up to the party, which is what they call leading by example.

I can't wait to see the contracts Cricket Australia give out soon.

Shane Watson really should be the highest paid player. I mean he's playing all 3 forms of the game and in ODIs especially he is the most important player in the team by far.
