The thing abt precamb is he probably will leave the thread alone after that post.. That is not quite happening here, is it?Yeah, that's exactly what it'd be like actually.
To be more specific, it'd be like Australia playing Manou as a specialist bat, Manou getting a duck, Australia trailing in their first innings and then Precambrian coming into a thread to claim that Australia's backup batting was crap and that they'd struggle when the current lot retired.
Which, to be fair, is probably exactly what would happen if Manou played as a specialist bat.
FOR ONCE AND FOR ALLL!!!FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!
India will never be as good as Aust 2004!
We never claimed it will. You don't have toe be one of the best ever to be the best of the current time!!!
And FFS we have Badrinath, Vijay and Saha!
I was refering to AUS glory years of 95-2006/07. Instead of post Ashes 06/07.Hmm.. Australia slipped to No.4 from No.1 in a amtter of 2 years since their main guys departed right?
if they are not the best, who are?FOR ONCE AND FOR ALLL!!!
I never was suggesting IND should be or will be good as Aus 2004!
I never claimed it will. Nobody is saying IND have to be one of the best ever to one of the best of the current time. But rather if they are indeed "the best" of the current time.
Yes you have Bardinath & Vijay they are part of IND immediate depth under any circumstance. Saha is the only black spot, so what are you screaming FFS about?
Because we haven't even lost the series yet and we're missing Rahul Dravid and Laxman, players who took us to the top.FOR ONCE AND FOR ALLL!!!

I thought preparing a turning track in the last test of a series is common sense! It's laughable that he needs an email from BCCI to do thatCalcutta: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) curator Prabir Mukherjee is in a fix. Mukherjee got a call from a top Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official, “instructing him to prepare a turning track” for the second Test between India and South Africa.
“I got a call from one of the BCCI officials requesting me to prepare a turning track as per the wish of the team management. However, I have clearly told him that I want an official communication, like an e-mail, stating what should be the nature of the wicket. Also, I don’t know how we can change the nature of the strip overnight,” Mukherjee told The Telegraph on Sunday.
The nature of the Eden Gardens wicket over the past few years has changed a lot. The last Test match between India and Pakistan in November-December 2007 had ended in a draw.
There is an underlying fear that trying to change the nature of the wicket at this time may turn it into an “under prepared” one.
It may be recalled that Mukherjee had once turned down the team management (Rahul Dravid and Greg Chappell)’s request to remove the grass from the strip during an one-dayer back in 2005. The opponents then, too, were Graeme Smith’s South Africa. The Indians lost that match.

What match receipts?Nah, Kallis batted too quickly
BCCI will be filthy at the the prospect of losing match receipts from Day 5 which wouldnt have been the case if he'd batted with a s/r of 10
There is a reason why people don't belive ind is not the best side even in the current period. Every one is saying they are undefeated since SRI08 tour but they hardly have a tough series from then on. Played against aussie team in disarray and transition and won which is a good result. That is the only series can be considered tough. Through out the 2009 they beat NZ away which ENG,SA and AUS do for fun everytime. And they won against SRI in home which AUS and SA do for fun. Before that they had a series victories against ENG in 2007 which mostly achieved cause of the rain in lords test. Because their away record is nothing to write off, most of the aussies and saffers are hard to agree about IND being the best side, which is understandable.if they are not the best, who are?
BCCI are total morons. The first track should have been like that. Ugh.Indian fans, hold your breath:

And it would be interesting to know what kind of a pitch that dumbass has prepared (if not a turning one)
Must have been a very enjoyable 80 years of cricket for you then.Sorry folks but I love it when India get shellacked.
Why did you quote my post?BCCI are total morons. The first track should have been like that. Ugh.
Anyway, what an exhibition of fast bowling here. Awesome stuff Steyn. As a batting lineup, I would have hoped for slightly more resilience, but sometimes this happens. That middle spell after the ball change was unbelievable. Completely unplayable. So happy I watched it.
I love blaming India when they mess up, but sometimes you just run into a buzzsaw and you just can't do anything about it. Anyone who blames India more than they give credit to Steyn goes on my ignore list (if I were allowed to have one as a mod ).
Because I love you.Why did you quote my post?
