*Official* Pakistan in Australia

Hopes the more reliable and possibly better in the 50 over game. But both Hastings and Christian are just much, much better T20 players.

Boy...this whole series has been demoralizing.......i don't think a T20 win will do anything to change that.....very disappointed Pakistani Fan.......

The worst thing about this series, from a Pakistani point of view, is that they could have been in with a good shot of winning or squaring the test series but dropped the ball (in more ways than one).

Probably the best chance they had in years to at least square the test series...

Saw Clarke being interviewed last night and just thought how everyone on here would have been cringing.
Just wish he'd come out and admit he's ordinary at it. It sticks in my craw that the T20 captaincy is basically just Test career development for Clarke, all other considerations (like actually winning games/tournaments) secondary. Gets annoying, after another hefty T20 loss, to hear "Yeah we lost but what's important is that we tried a few things/learnt a lot from the game/played some new guys which stands us in good stead for one-dayers/Tests."

:disgust:

I think it's a good thing he's finally admitted he's crap. Hopefully he does work on his game and we see massive improvements. As it stands he isn't in the top 20 Twenty20 batsmen in the country and I'm not sure he'd make many other international sides based on both his record and ability in the format (dunno if he'd even make the NSW side on merit if we're being completely honest).

Probably not. NSW have opening batsmen to fill up down to number 5 and then you are into Haddin and the all rounders.

Full strength might be:

Warner
Watson
Katich
Jaques
Hughes
Haddin
Smith
Henriques
Lee
Hauritz
Bracken

And thats not even including Dwayne Smith as our import who i would also play ahead of him.

The obvious choice for captain of the Aussie T20 team is Cameron White. He has a pretty impressive record as Victoria`s skipper in the Big Bash. He should also be included in the test squad IMHO.

Can't wait for tonight. Settle down for a couple of beers and enjoy some of the new kids in Smith and Birt play.

Weather has calmed down in Melbourne, rained all morning but it has held off recently.
