Just checking back the Champions league fixtures. Its pretty disappointing that Inter & Chelsea are clashing in the round of 16, either one of them can beat Barcelona this year.
Actually Barcelona so much better than Inter, it's hardly funny.

They a better but only with the strikers slightly. Everywhere else Inter can match them.

Best Barca XI:

Iniesta/Henry--------------------------------------------Ibrahimovic------------------------------------------Messi

----------------------Keita/Iniesta--------------------------Toure----------------------Xavi----------------------------

Abidal-----------------------------------Pique----------------Puyol---------------------------------------------Alves

Inter:

------------------------------------------Milito----------------Eto'o/Pandev----------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------Sneijder---------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------Muntari---------------------Cambiasso-----------------Zanetti------------------------------------

Santon-----------------------------Samuel--------------Lucio------------------------------------------------Maicon

Add the Mourinho effect, Inter could beat Barca over 2 legs if they clash this year

Haa you underrate Inter at your own risk i wont (although Barca did beat in the group stage but Inter have been playing better since). Of course they have to get past Chelsea first. But id back Chelsea to beat Barca as well, they just have do do what United did to Barca in 07/08, bully Messi, be solid in defense & be strong on the counter-attack.

Barca > Chelsea > Inter IMO.

But football can be quite unpredictable, so I can see Inter beating Chelsea on the back of some Mourinho inspiration. But for Barca to lose to Inter, they'd have to be playing a couple of notches below their best. Chelsea v Barca would be interesting.

That's him plus he has a hybrid Scots/yank accent and is trying to sell the game to America
I felt it was a hybrid Irish/Yank accent. He's worse than listening to Eddie Jordan though, which makes death a serious option.

Irish, yes. It's really annoying how much respect his opinions get on ESPN because he's "European" and therefore knows what he's talking about.

To beat Barca you have to win the mid-field battle & bully out Messi. Inter & Chelsea are physical teams & the only two teams in Europe ATM capable of doing that. As i said before they just have to do what United did over two legs in 07/08 & Barca can be beaten.

You're underestimating the midfield, I see. Dare I say, Messi isn't the biggest threat in the Barca team.

It's a good thing Barca's gonna play its 07/08 squad in the knockout stages this year.

You should've let Fergie know before the CL final last year.

Am sir their is hardly a difference in the Barca 07/08 team that United beat in CL semi-final than the one now. Thats like saying AUS 05/06 vs SA was different from the 06/07 Ashes winning team.

- Zambrotta 07 has been replaced by Alves. Similar quality @ RB remains

- Deco 07 has been replaced by either Keita or Busquetes. Same quality in the centre of the park remains.

- Ibrahimovic has replaced Eto'o. Similar quality remains up front.

While they maintain the same style of ***y football. So yes as i said Chelsea or Inter (whoever wins their RO16 clash) have the ability to topple Barca if they learn from what a strong United 07/08 team did. But of course Barca could still win as well..

That was a one-off game, totally different from the two leg-scenario of 07/08.

United in the final last year because lost the mid-field battle, they gave Xavi & Iniesta too much space. Carrick/Giggs/Anderson where crap on the night, United not having Fletcher & Hargreaves to man mark Xavi/Iniesta proved to be the difference.

Ha, really? Saw him on ESPN's free weekend and he came across like a second-hand car salesman in a suit at least two sizes too small for him with the blarney bull**** turned right up to eleven. Made Frank Leboeuf seem knowledgeable.
