But not one that anyone takes seriously. They have an authority figure on Smackdown tbf, two of them in fact.
I wasn't necessarily saying that an authority figure is necessary, it just gives a show some focus.I actually prefer when there is no major on-screen authority figure, and they just pop up from time to time when big decisions need to be made.
The storyline making seems a bit haphazard, but this intrigues me, nothing appears set in stone. However, by focus, I meant that the whole show is focussed toward the Hogan-Bischoff era, which is a good thing and keeps intrigue throughout the whole show.I disagree, anyway, that TNA has focus, though I haven't seen this week's yet. There is no structure, direction or forward planning, everything is about there and now and the production is really poor lately. And reinstating Foley at the start of the show...words fail me
Probably better if you watch on youtube before checking out the results, makes the show better, imo. With Corrin on this one. Agree with everything just said, and I haven't even seen the most recent impact though, will have a read of the results in a mo, sounds amusingly bad.
Maybe, I don't really have the time/can't be arsed to watch an entire show though. I obviously appreciate that you don't get the full effect of what has happened if you read and don't watch. But when I'm only watching for because of a "it's so bad, it' good" sort of reason, the appeal for me to sit through it again only to feel like I've wasted the last 2 hours of my life isn't all that great.Probably better if you watch on youtube before checking out the results, makes the show better, imo.
I think I agree with almost all of that. However, I think Sheamus will probably retain. These heel v heel type matches rarely see a title change, and I really see no benefit in Orton beating Sheamus one on one. I imagine Sheamus will probably retain through some dubious circumstances, perhaps interference from Cena, Kingston or DX, which then sets up a triple threat at No Way Out, where Orton will then win the title. That way Sheamus can get the rub from being the champ for one more month and Orton can get it in time for WM build up if that is what they are planning. With the Royal Rumble on tomorrow, I thought I would list my predictions for the event.
30 Man Royal Rumble Match:
I think it's likely that either one of Triple H or Shawn Michaels would win this match. However, I still have this feeling that Edge is coming back. If he does and wins, it'll be absolutely amazing. I'm predicting that Edge will win the Royal Rumble.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: The Undertaker vs Rey Mysterio
Undertaker to win this. Should be an exciting match.
WWE Championship Match: Sheamus vs Randy Orton
Not sold on Sheamus as WWE Champion and I'd expect Orton to win this. However it wouldn't be so bad if WWE kept the faith in a young star like Sheamus and let him continue his WWE Championship run. I'm still expecting Orton to win.
ECW Championship Match: Christian vs Ezekiel Jackson
Should be an average match. Christian makes mostly everyone look good and he should pull Jackson through to an average match. It's a big test for Jackson and if he has a reasonable match, then he may come out looking like a star. I'd still expect Christian to win though.
Women's Championship Match: Michelle McCool vs Mickie James
Got no idea. I'll pick Mickie James.
Enjoy the show guys.
That actually sounds really good, except for the fact that it'll be an Elimination Chamber match at the next PPV. I doubt WWE would let Sheamus keep the belt though and I think Randy Orton will probably win the WWE Championship.I think I agree with almost all of that.
Ah, well it'll serve the same purpose, just with a 3 extra guys thrown into the mix I suppose. There can't be a triple threat next month, it's the Elimination Chamber
WAG, too right. Had Jericho joined TNA after his break from Wrestling rather than joining with the E I think he would have been a huge signing for them. But if he went there now he would just appear as another WWE cast off, and besdies, he's doing a great job right where he is, myhero.More Twitter fun as Chris Jericho responded to Eric Bischoff's statement yesterday: "Bischoffs right I can't headline in TNA...cos I'm not in my 50s." Bischoff had said during the State of TNA address on Bubba the Love Sponge's show that he'd like to have Chris Jericho in TNA, but doesn't see him as a headliner.
Yeah, am up for that. Have put a blanket over my window in an attempt to keep the heating in for as long as possible too, go me.Good man, thoughts by txt, k
