Afridi The Cheat Strikes again

Reckon we should create an outlaw version of the game (and no, not like the ICL) where anything goes. Ball tampering, underarm, chucking, tackling, aluminium bats, pitch tampering, fielders on segways and run zones (like that of the tabletop game 'Test Match').
Double plays, steroids and adultery?

hahaha..
I'm not sure whats a bigger joke.... Afridi's bitting or the 2 T20 match ban 8-)

The guy with known history of cheating... surely should've got a bigger punishment.

Afridi is right though everyone does it. I really doubt what he did would actually assist the bowlers that much. He just doesnt think before he acts sometimes.

Having said all that I still think he would make a fantastic captain.

If by "it" you mean shoving a ball in your mouth so you look like a stuffed pig, no everyone doesn't do it.

Personally I think it's pretty damn funny, but there's no option but to do something by way of punishment. I'd be surprised if teams do as much tampering at the top level nowadays given the cameras around, but I could be completely wrong, and of course I exclude England, who invariably stoop to new depths of mints in their pursuit of ill-gotten gains.

Bit of bother as bitter bowler bit a ball of bitter bobber.

(bobber as in cork, bit of poetic license - but you'd do better, if bothered? ).

The Australians dont do "it". Afridi is wrong, everyone dosent do "it".

Afridi is the person least qualified to cast aspersions on other countries.

This thread is fitting hilarity for such a hilarious incident.

It was quite embarrassing actually......he was having a "pathan" moment i guess....but seriously....how dumb do you have to be not to realize that you can't really get away with it.....not in today's cricket....or did he understand the consequences..............? but regardless, its quite embarrassing as a Pakistani to see our captain do such a shameful act....completely unacceptable....

We don't know that the aussies don't do it they just havent been caught. We know england does it im sure India does it whatever it maybe Afridi's 2 games is fair enough considering that absoloutely nothing has happened to the Englishmen over in South Africa.

But I must admit this along with his crip walk in Karachi are just two ridiculous brianless actions, but thats Afridi for you. He is just like that he needs to learn from here on end that kind of behavious just won't slide.

When such a weak punishment is issued for such a deliberate action in trying to cheat, do you really think he'll learn? Collingwood and Dhoni have been given harsher penalties for slow over rates in the recent past, and whilst I obviously don't condone sides bowling their overs slower, I'd rather they do so than take a bite out of the ball...

Afridi:laugh:

The only thing that freaks me out is that he is probably the next captain best time to quit my cricket watching and concentrate on other stuff in life.

I think the backlash from all of Pakistan when he gets home will be far harder for him to cope with than sitting out a few games. Hopefully he learns that thousands of children all over Pakistan and the world look up to him as a hero, let alone his 4 own children. It's not the right example he is setting for his kids and all the other kids that adore him.

If he can learn from this he could really take Pakistan cricket forward, he has teh respect of the public and his teammates.

This respect will now be diminished, he has to feel some remorse at least I hope he does.

Yeah because what Afridi did is somehow comparable to the cases of Anderson and Broad
