Mad Jens would do, surely?
Was a gun, wish we had him now. Wish we had anyone bar our two first choice keepers actually. Both of them are a liability. Almunia's kick that went straight to a Man Utd player today was like something out of Fifa, it was that bad. ffs. And that's before we mention the goal.

Was a class keeper. Got way too much stick for the odd mistake he'd commit over a season. He organised the defence and bailed them out many times a match with his sweeping up. If we don't sign a keeper in the summer, we're not trying to win anything.

Seaman was the first one in my head because I pulled out a save reminiscent of this up the field.

So Seaman was my name for the rest of that particular game of doubles.

 Hate it when that happens when trying to speed the game up.
Have conceded many goals that way tbh, happened so often that now when I'm playing with friends, we have a rule that unless you score from a volley, if the ball ends up in the back of the net it will be disallowed.

Ha ha yeah, not dissing him at all, I was always a big fan. Just saying you don't need to go back as far as spunky for a top class 'keeper.

I can't believe Almunia's miss-kick didn't end up in a goal, couldn't understand why Nani didn't just shoot with his first touch.

If you have a better cup run your squad gets more experience, the club get more fame, they get more fans, they get more money directly from the FA Cup itself and more money indirectly. It will help attract players. This all contributes to future attempts at winning the league.
Almost sounds like the sort of thing I've seen you post in the FTP forum.
You know what would have a bigger effect in terms of trying to attract players or trying to win the league? Actually winning the league.

So if we sacrifice the FA Cup in the bid to win the league, so be it.

But then what do you stand to lose by lying about this? Nothing really. It's an Internet forum.

It's just a remarkably ignorant mentality if it's true. I can't speak for everyone, but I think that's the core of the matter.

Ignorant how? I only noticed international football until the start of the 03/04 season and heard about Beckham/Man Utd and Henry/Arsenal. No idea of the successes of the clubs or anything just knew the names. Liked Beckham so picked his former team when I started watching. Loads of people pick teams because of a player so don't see why it's unbelievable here.

I think Nani's skill has been a bit underappreciated here. It was absolutely sick, seriously, just try defending against that. The only thing Clichy and Denilson could (should) have done was give away a free kick.

The second goal was great stuff too, so clinical.

Blog I read basically suggests Arsenal are in a league of their own. Much better than the teams below them currently but they don't quite have the legs to run United and Chelsea close. Looks like we're pretty much nailed on for third.

You're clearly underestimating the amazing run of form that West Ham is about to embark upon.

Why would you pick his former team? You could've picked Preston then as well.
Also, international superstars traditionally play for successful clubs, that should be blatantly obvious to anyone.
