I hope Arsene is getting angry at himself on the bench there. Not sure who else he can be angry with.
I think he's getting angry at the fact he's got to sit on that bench when he could be using the next 25 minutes to sort our squad out by buying 400 French/African wonderkids.

Eboue and Bendtner coming on. We're good now.

EDIT: Heh at the keep the faith sign in the crowd and the empty seats behind it.

Feel for Song, Cesc has had an off day and Denilson has been a waste of space, has almost been a one man show from him at times.

Well at least we played well for 11 minutes at the end. Heh, love how the plan seems to be to wait for most of these players to one day not be ****. Congrats to United though, clearly wanted it more.

Superb win - would have been lovely to keep the clean sheet and not concede that ridiculously jammy goal late on as Edwin had the shot well covered before Evans stuck a leg out, but it's a minor point. Exactly what we needed to stay in touch with the Chavs, hopefully on the back of the City result midweek this is the start of a great late-season surge.

Not too annoyed at Wenger for this. Arsenal had more than enough chances to at least get a draw from this match, a player of Arshavin's quality should have put at least one or two of the chances he got away. Denilson at fault for the second and third United goals today, surely soon Ramsey will take his place, his totally insipid performances cannot be allowed to go on for much longer. Well done United though, got their chances and took them.

Yeah but we went over that at the time.
Having an increased shot at winning the league > making it to the 5th round of the FA Cup.
Hey, I'm not defending it. It was a snide comment heavily reliant on hindsight.

I'm just explaining it.

As always you're glossing over the morale effect, which is particularly big with a side like the CDMs. As well as things like the future chances of winning the league.

If you have a better cup run your squad gets more experience, the club get more fame, they get more fans, they get more money directly from the FA Cup itself and more money indirectly. It will help attract players. This all contributes to future attempts at winning the league.
