Tamim looks very determined

I have no Idea what Ash is gonna do ... He looked Great vs Mishra, shots all along the ground but I don't know.

He is under so much pressure, your could see it in his face

Haha that's the second time in two pages that someone's pedantically brought up Chris Martin as an example of something even worse. His name is so going to drift into general non-cricketing usage at some stage.

The fact that he shares a name with someone more famous than him is the only thing having stopped that happening already IMO. :p

Kayes is useless tbh. Tamim and Nafees to open the Test batting.

Hope Tamim carries on, really rate the guy. Huge amount of determination and he's only 20. 3rd in alltime ODI run list for his age (only Afridi (was he that age?) and Tendulkar above him)

Can see him averaging 35 or so in Tests.

I agree with all that. Rajin Saleh should come into the side and bat at 3. Raqibul at 4, Shakib at 5 and Ashraful at 6.

If Shakib's bowled heaps I'm not against him and MoAsh switching places.

Sounds good and with Mahmudallah and Rahim at 7 and 8 theres a bit of lower order strength. Particularly when Mortaza returns.

Shahadat is a genuinely handy Test bowler in this past year or two. Unfortunately his progress was equally marred by Rasel and co. getting worse.

Kayes is one of the only bangla batsman I've seen grind out a score, and for that reason alone i think they should persist with him.

He did it in one of the recent one dayers. Can't remember much else, but he at least looked solid, which is rare with the bangladeshi batsman.

Going to disagree pretty strongly here, just doesn't look like a Test batsman to me. Tamim, Nafees, Raqibul, Shakib and Ashraful (mr on again off again) have all played good Test knocks and ground out runs. Kayes doesn't seem to be any better than Siddique who arguably did far more in international cricket.

Of course every one of these players is in their early 20s so its very difficult to know where they will go. The more talented players appear at this stage to be Tamim, Shakib and Raqibul. Of course Ashraful also looked a great talent and has done bugger all.

Yeah, it's an exciting lineup when Mortaza returns. Two genuine quicks, plus the 2 spinners, means the number 11 can be the next best quick (Islam) or next best spinner (Haque Jnr, probs) depending on conditions.

How many overs are we expecting they'll get through today with all the fog/bad light. I think yesterday there was 85 overs. That's a huge task for Bangladesh to last that many overs.

Yeah I agree very strongly; I'm a huge fan of Rajin and he hit a ton a few days ago as well. It won't happen though - Siddique and Naeem are in the squad already so they'll get first preference.

Its not all about talent, particularly when it comes to bangladesh right now. Their problem has always been that they bat with the wrong mentality. I get the impression that Kayes is more mentally prepared to bat cautiously than the others (I've genuinely never seen a bangladesh batsman grind out a 100, for example). Of course, this is just my impression. I could be totally wrong about the guy.

If you want someone to really grind out a score, then Rajin really is your man. If anything, his problem is that he can't hit it off the square when he's out of form.
