*Official* India in Bangladesh

Agreed, which makes that shot even worse. No need for it at all; they were getting right on top. Brainless cricket.
Tbf, he's probably just trying to get Shads in asap, so he can slog a quick eleven off fourteen balls with a four.

I get the feeling he was wanting to bring up his 50 in style with that shot. Not a great shot at all, especially with Mahmudullah batting so well with him.

I can't see numbers 10 and 11 lasting long, hopefully Shahadat can stick around a bit.
Shahadat is just throwing the bat.

Why are they slogging? They should try and grind out a 100 run lead and put pressure on India.

Well, it seems like the Tigers are trying to keep the momentum after that wicket. Probably the only sensible thing to do now.!

Wow, I hope Shahadat Hossain gets torn a new one for that shot. Just plain dire. Not only when Mahmudullah is going so well, when the job should be to give Mahmudullah the strike, but also an over before Tea. Give an over to Mishra. Who cares if you don't score of that over when you have all of the final session to knock the runs off and get a lead of some sorts. I still think India will win this Test, I don't see them underestimating the Bangladeshi bowlers a second time in this Test.

Slighty OT for the Indian posters, is cricket commentary usually broadcast in India in the English language? I know it may seem a silly question, but India is such a vast country with a lot of different languages, and while this coverage is on Setanta (for me anyway), so I would imagine the coverage would be the same every where else, or is there commentary in Hindi, Punjabi etc.?

(That paragraph probably makes no sense, but I couldn't word any better)

Yeah its in English.
I think only Doordarshan when it has cricket on... they switch between English and Hindi every 15 minutes or so.
That might be the case on radio.. haven't seen cricket on Doordharsan for ages....

Completely English when aired on the ESPN/STAR channels (Bhogle/Shastri etc) and they switch between English and Hindi on Doordarshan, which is terrestrial.

Do they still have the Docomo ads? Got stuck in my head so badly after the Idea Cup.
Hahaha, one of my mates is in one of those ads. Have to tell him he's being watched around the world now.

in radio, u get commentary in local languages and the national broadcast switches between hindi and english every 15 mins.. and if doordarshan is covering, they ll have hindi cmmentary for 20 mins during every hour.. But with the other channels, they tend to stick to English commentary as it is more widely understood in India than even Hindi, in the cities at least.
