Yeah but was just listing eligibility criteria.
Then whey did you state that he's not Kolpak to lead off?
In other news, some cowardly stuff by Ganga after tea. Had his bowlers outside leg to a leg side packed field to force the draw after Guyana were withing shot of going after the target.
Thin line between stupidity and cowardice I guess. Because if you got nothing from the first match of the season and are in danger of dropping more points in the second, defending a moderate total on a flat pitch, I can understand playing for the draw. It's not like T&T only needed a couple of wickets on a diabolical pitch.

Ganga was on the receiving end of some negative stuff from Barbados last year, and now's he dishing it out against Guyana....
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Collins been released by Surrey? If so, like Dwayne Smith, he could become eligible to play for the Windies.

Runako Morton has celebrated his recall to the WI side by moving to the top of the run-scoring tables....

Morton (Leewards) 287 runs

Omar Phillips (CCC) 185 runs

Wavell Hinds (Jamaica) 179 runs

Denesh Ramdin (Trinidad) 156 runs

Narsing Deonarine (Guyana) 147 runs

Rawl Lewis (Windwards) 145 runs

Donovan Pagon (Jamaica) 145 runs

Lendl Simmons (Trinidad) 141 runs

The top six wicket-takers are spinners, and the next four are seamers....

Kavesh Kantasingh (CCC) 14 wickets @ 12!!!!

Nikita Miller (Jamaica) 14 wickets @ 13!!!

Ryan Hinds (Barbados) 11 wickets @ 18

Imran Khan (Trinidad) 11 wickets @ 19

Odean Brown (Jamaica) 11 wickets @ 23

Ryan Austin (CCC) 10 wickets @ 17

Kemar Roach (Barbados) eight wickets @ 16

Lionel Baker (Leewards) eight wickets @ 17

Pedro Collins (Barbados) seven wickets @ 16

Dave Bernard (Jamaica) seven wickets @ 22

Once he plays as an overseas player if he takes up another CC contract. Would love to see him back in the fold. Especially as Taylor and Edwards are injured every other day. He's old, but experienced because of it.

He was Kolpak before so that made him ineligible before. He's not now so was just stating that as it's a selection criterion.

Fair point but West Indian lineups can fold quickly. Should be pushing for the win though.

A Guyana win or a draw were the most likely results at that stage. They were cruising with 3 wickets down. When you got a big fat 0 from your first match, and there are just a handful of matches in total, you have to tread a fine line. If that was cowardice by Ganga, I'm happy enough with it.

Attending this charity T20 - Trinidad and Tobago v Guyana @ QP Oval - tomorrow. Really excited. Will be my first time spectating at a proper T20 match, and will also be taking the gf along in the hope that it can sell cricket to her. Fingers crossed.

Couldn't get my tickets because a woman shot a guy in the ticket outlet (KFC, ironically) today. Trinidad, I love you...

You won't have internet access at the match itself, will you?
:)
That way, you could give us live updates....

I've not gotten around to setting up my phone for Internet access since I've been back, unfortunately. Got my tickets today though, in the surprisingly blood-free KFC outlet. Leaving home in a couple of hours for what will, hopefully, be an excellent time. Convinced the gf to wear red for it too.

Wavell Hinds has hit an unbeaten half=century in Jamiaca's score of 239-6 on the first day of their match against Guyana in St Philip....

at this point, I would say it's advantage Jamaica.

Trinidad are also on top, in their game against Barbados, and Windwards are in charge of their match against CCC.

Barbados going to need a miracle to win at this stage. Heading comfortably for a draw. Ramdin scored 166* to set a target of 298 (Dave scored 30odd I believe) and Barbados are 142-2 with a couple of hours left.

Ramdin in awesome form right now. Definitely having his best FC season to date.

Barbados throwing away wickets and giving T&T a sniff. Imran Khan took his 10th wicket amidst the chaos, which has included a couple of big shots and a crazy suicidal run out of Dwayne Smith. 6 down now...
