*Official* England in South Africa

Yes. It is not a strict inconsistency of English fans, but it is the smug attitude of English posters on these forums towards cries of racism (I'm agreeing that any and all calls of racism are ludicrous in world cricket) whereas cries of unbridled incompetance, leading to an official complaint, are not overtly morally superior.
If you agree that any and all cries of racism are ludicrous in world cricket, then surely an attitude of smug dismissiveness towards such cries is appropriate?

By contrast we'd all agree that there are examples of incompetence: an umpire listening for a nick who can't hear it because he fails to turn the volume up would surely be one. And in such cases it's natural for a follower of the game, regardless of nationality, to howl with derision.

Looks like by the letter of the law Harper made another incorrect decision with the AB review this morning.

No. I'd disagree here, and this is why I'd not be keen to argue, as it is a value judgement. Personally, I despise smug dismissiveness in all of its forms, regardless of justification (being reasonable) and feels that each view should be given the time of day.

I disagree fundamentally. Unjustified allegations of racism are deeply offensive and should be called out for the crap that they are. If people make lazy and baseless allegations of discrimination I am happy to argue the toss up to a point, but what they're talking is fundamentally bollocks and it's right that that should be pointed out in forceful terms.
