eh North, not the best way to get out. If he would have gotten out slogging he would have had an excuse, that was just **** though.

I have to agree with the commentators, the umpires should be widing Aamer for all the negative bowling. If Rauf would would wide Warne for negative bowling outside legstump, then the same should apply here.
It's been ridiculous. Very poor from the umps.

Dire stuff walking though. Rudd should bowl to North, he'd get him out too. At least Ruddy hit the pitch - anyone remember Howard in Afghanistan?

I voted for the man, but...

GET RUDD OFF THE SCREEN!
Didn't vote for him, but AWTA. So bad

Pontings double ton the first Australian once since Hodge in 05 isn't it?

Pretty rubbish from North as well, never looked comfortable.

Poor form though actually getting a wicket, old Tony missed a fair few penalties in his time.

If I ever have to see David ****ing Cameron playing cricket I think I will leave the country.

Was Jason Gillespie the last Australian double century before today?

edit: Probably should have checked this page.

North is not a Test-class player, as indicated by his Shield record.

And he's certainly not a number six batsman.

In that situation, at 4/400, you want your number six to be aggressive - to take the game right away from the opposition.

North is too defensive to bat in that position.

It's been a great day hasn't it?

A double-century from our most important batsman, a much needed century from the #4, a record 352-run partnership, Haddin having a decent hit and North going cheaply to prove once and for all that he is currently batting like a tailender and doesn't warrant his place.

Haha yeah, it doesn't matter how tired he is and how many runs are on the board, Asif will always be too good for North.

Heck, anything is better than 3 let-ups.
I was referring to the first grassed chance sorry. Was such a thick edge, and he wouldn't have had sight of the ball until after it had hit the bat due to where Kaneria was delivering from.
