Hardly call 28 year old Batticciotto a youngster. I don't think Batticciotto fits into this Queensland lineup, batting him at 7 was a waste as he isn't what I would call a blaster, and you already have the likes of Reardon and Carseldine to provide some middle order stability (Could argue for Batticciotto over Reardon, but I think Reardon is a better cricketer).

In the end Batticciotto plays ahead of Lynn. Queensland and Hopes off to a good start. I find Hopes an ugly batsmen to watch in T20, far too many slices just wide of fieldsmen, and yet he is doing the job.
Also notice that Doherty has the spinners spot before Krezja for Tasmania, struggling for form ATM is Krejza.

Krejza is injured for this one isnt he? Also good to see John Rogers debut, another product from the ACT, some might remember him from two years ago when he scored 98 against India in the tour match, very good young batsman who has been captaining Tassies Futures team.

What a good evening of cricket. Really enjoyed the hat trick and was hoping to see a second. The ball seemed to get a lot harder to hit as it softened with both sides fading towards the end of their innings. Was expecting QLD to get to 180 at the half way point.

Yeah I enjoyed the match too. Glad they started to open up parts of the other half of the stadium. It was slightly annoying that cause we got into the ground only about 5 minutes before the start of the match it was impossible to find seats in the lower licensed section so we had to go to the top tier (licenced), and the atmosphere is never quite the same, but I guess you can see more really.
Where was my mate George Bailey? I was hoping that he was in Hobart preparing for the Test, same with Krejza
QLD's batting order was a bit messed up last night, Hopes definitely deserved the man of the match, he had probably his best ever T20 match last night.
Ryan Harris bowled very well I thought. He should be close to the Australian team in T20 IMO if the selectors monitor the workloads of the Test quicks.

Decent match last night, came down to who could capitalise against the new ball.
My notes from the game:
- James Hopes, please do that at international level. Big game with both bat and ball
- Ryan Harris should be in contention for an Australian spot.
- Brett Geeves is the man
- The standard of outfield catching all competition is incredibly high
- Queenslands should expect more from Andrew Symonds. If he is to freelance his services in T20, then prove you are worth it.

Best T20 all rounder in the country IMO (obv besides Watson). Should really push for a spot in the world cup squad unless Hopes keeps up his form from yesterday.
You'd also think once Afridi and Pollard are playing some of the internationals, Christian, O'Brien and Cleary will all just move up one spot to make room for another bowler. Those three at 8, 9 and 10 is ridiculously strong and almost a bit of a waste really.

He has looked full of potential every time i've seen him which has been in the IPL & a few ODIs for AUS & the recent Champions League. Clearly not the finished article yet though.

He's gone at almost 9rpo in his Twenty20 career so far. He's a good cricketer but his bowling is completely unsuited to the format; I'd definitely much rather have Christian.
Potentially a decent call but despite his T20 bowling record being decent I have absolutely no confidence in it at all at this point. He's profited from a few very favourable circumstances to get that record where it is.
Hmm, he has more potential than Christian but at the current time I'd back Christian ahead of him.
I think Julian was just taking into account those who are actually available for Australian selection, but I'd even still I don't think I'd pick Symonds as a T20 allrounder as I don't trust his bowling.

Gun T20 bat but he's basically become a non-bowler in the format. Really bowls some absolute dross when the pressure's on.
Yeah, top call. Really under-rated T20 bowler.
Basically, while a few of the players you mentioned are better T20 cricketers than Christian overall, I'd take him ahead of all of them barring Hussey in the role of batting six and seven and bowling a full allotment. For example, White's a lot more useful than Christian in general because he's a gun bat, but I certainly wouldn't want him to be bowling four overs and his batting wouldn't have that great an impact down at six or seven anyway.
Both Christian's batting and his bowling are really well-suited to the format IMO; I agree with Julian to a large extent here.
