*Official* Pakistan in Australia

Oh Pakistan...

I didn't catch the first 3 wickets, but of the ones I saw the only one that I can think of that wasn't an example of a batsman throwing his wicket away was Sami's dismissal by Hauritz. The rest were text book tragi-comedy stuff.

I smell a complete trouncing coming up at Hobart for the Pakistanis. It will be very hard for them to pick themselves up after today, and given what they've shown us this summer I'm not sure if the team in its current form has it in them.

Osman Samiuddin's article about pathetic Yousuf's pathetic captaincy summed up my thoughts today..

I have always had issues with Yousuf's spineless attitude as a batsman, a player and for the last one month, his spineless and timid attitude as a captain. Any leader who hopes for God to send rain after throwing away their wickets is a terrible leader..period.

There is no one else to blame more than Mohammad Yousuf today.
I think he might as well retire now with some dignity left before he humiliates himself more. It is clear he is more interested in giving religious talks in mosques in Sydney than win a test match..and his priorities were not right..so he better leave cricket and do what he wants to do. Look at Graeme Smith's batting, look at Chris Gayle's batting..thats how a captain should bat when your team has their backs against the wall.

This series will prove what I have been saying about his batting abilities for a long time..that he cant perform against decent bowling attacks overseas nor can he perform when it matters. Lot of people talk about his batting average of 54 but hopefully those people he fooled by smashing mediocre bowling attacks on flat decks will come to realize that his batting average is simply a joke and a facade.

After this performance..I have no problems in saying that Australia thoroughly deserved to win this test match...They have all the qualities of a strong side..never to give up, never to stop believing and ability to come back at any time...
I still dont have much regard for Hauritz as a spinner..regardless of his success against some pathetic batsmen..all he needs is a Sehwag to show him where he belongs. Yes Bollinger, Johnson and Siddle are impressive no doubt..but not Haurtiz..Herath destroyed Pakistan in summer last year..and fooled a lot of people..only for India to show him where he belongs.

After this defeat, Pakistan will be so low on confidence..I doubt they can come back at all..so its another 3-0 to Australia..well done.

Time for some serious thinking for Yousuf, Misbah and Kamran about their cricket...Kamran might need a break..Yousuf and Misbah - I am not sure if they really have a future in test cricket anymore.
I've been saying this for years that not only Yousuf,Misbah and Kamran but also Butt,Farhat Kaneria,Sami,Shoaib Malik & Afridi should be dropped permanently. But they manage to become part of the team because "demand" of some idiot Pakistani fans & use of unfair means i.e 'Sifarish'.

And I couldn't stop laughing when Kaneria said to mediapersons that he's Pakistan's best spinner ever after crossing Abdul Qadir's tally of 236 wickets.IMO,he's Pakistan's worst spinner ever.Infact twice or probably thrice as worst as any other in Pakistan's hisory. And Akmal is without any doubt Pakistan's worst wicket keeper ever as well.Your batting should not be a reason to keep you in the team if you can't keep even if you have a batting average of 50.Our changed team could be consisting of tese players.

Haha did you notice Kaneria picked a fifer despite being dropped countless times? In the last 3 years Akmal alone has dropped Kaneria about 14 times and many more missed stumping chances.

Is Nasir Jamshed even close to being test quality yet? I remember hearing quite abit about him a year or so ago and he has a pretty good record for a 20 year old.

Got a flashback to Damien Martyn when he played that shot.

Which is actually quite amazing seeing how I was 2 when he played that fateful shot. But you know, SCG, small 4th innings target, pretty stupid shot. There's some similarities.

haha...funnily enough Pakistan has been run through by Hauritz,Symcox and Herath in 3 last innings disasters.

Firstly, commiserations to all the Pakistan supporters who must be felling gutted (and rightly so).

The captaincy of Yousuf was absolutely dire and partially to blame, IMO. The Pakistani batting was also terribly inept. In reality, the target wasn't that insurmountable; the batsmen were just reckless. Perhaps it was the magnitude of the ocassion but they didn't seem to know how to win.

It definitely made for fascinating viewing but I'm pretty disappointed at the way Pakistan collapsed. A 1-1 scoreline would have really invigorated the series. As it stands, it will be extremely difficult for Pakistan to come back in Hobart after such a demoralizing defeat.

Australia's fighting qualities shone through. Still, the middle order shortcomings shouldn't be neglected. And, in fairness, Pakistan dominated the majority of match.

Safe to say Kamran Akmal won't be sleeping well tonight, if at all.

And that should be the last time he does for quite a wee while.

Apparently Pakistan have decided to send Sarfraz Nawaz over to Australia for the 3rd test.
Why? By the time he gets on Pak will inevitably be ****ed. If he played at 3 today Pakistan might have won.

Must be mighty desperate to be doing that :p
Whoops. Guess that's what happens when you're looking at bowling records at 12 in the morning.

Sarfraz Ahmed has been sent for, not that I really see the point though.
