*Official* England in South Africa

 Did anyone else hear what sounded like Botham saying '****' after seeing that it was going over the stumps? I've rewinded it and it definitely sounds like that.

It's a huge test. I quite like our attack, but there's no pretending they're up there with the best. Donald & Pollock, or McGrath & Gillespie would have enjoyed themselves on this wicket, I think. Even allowing for the fact that there's a couple of all-time greats in those sides, we just don't produce enough of that quality of bowler..
Does anyone anymore? England's bowling attack isn't up there with the best of all time but I think it's up there with the best going around right now TBH. It'd look better if Flintoff hadn't retired but strangely I think I rate it higher now than I did back when he was playing because I have much higher opinions of Onions and Broad. It's about on par with South Africa's, possibly slightly worse due to Kallis's role, but not by much.

This is an awesome game, why wasn't it on last week, when I was on hols?

Instead I had to watch SA collapse like a badly made cake.

w00t, 100 up.

I kinda liked it that the 50/50 went either way.I would prefer UDRS are just used for howlers a close LBW shout going either way is of the things I enjoy in cricket.

That's exactly how it's been setup to work. If it's within the margin of error, then the on field decision stands. Which is far better than that old "Give the benefit to the batsman" malarkey.

Yeah system works fine so long as its consistent around the world with technology.

I'm liking how it works with LBWs especially.

I personally think that all of the 'Umpire Call' ones should just be given as out, or at least I agree with Botham that you shouldn't lose a referral for it

Yeah I don't really like it being in the players hands to begin with but if they're not definitely wrong they shouldn't get docked the review.

We're being destroyed here. Need a bit of magic from someone. This is where we miss the big guy the most. :(

It is a classic time where Freddie would produce something for us, which is why he was so important for us, stats can never display this kind of value to a side.

We are in trouble at the moment, 162 behind, but we do have a habit of picking up wickets in clusters, so I DO believe if we can break this partnership we can go on a bit of a roll.

That'll never happen, it'd be far more likely that it would be the other way around. Which would make any debatable LBW a not out, which is why I agree with the way it is currently.

You do realise Kallis is in next, right? :p
