I hate this situation where someone picks a player in the round before that is incorrect and a person picks him correctly in the later round.

Didn't Joe pick Pollock in 7B, which failed, and then took Trumble in 7C? Where's the issue?

Issue is Joe picked Trumble in 7C, but he doesn't fit that category as he played for more than a decade.
Blakus picked Trumble for 8C which was correct.

Going by the joe vs fertang 2009. Both were given fails, so I think that should be the case again.

That's silly IMO. Blakus picked him correctly for a question at a time that he wasn't on the banned list = he should get him in the team. Joe picked him incorrectly = he gets a fail. If Trumble had been banned when Blakus picked him, or if he had fit the criteria correctly and hence both players "got" him, I can see the issue, but not in this scenario.

If we're going to do two questions at once, we need to have some flexibility in this regard - there's no way Blakus could have anticipated this, and its not that someone else opted for him in the question he was a correct answer for.

I could understand this if trumble had been picked in 7a or 7b as it would mean G.I.Joe would never of gotten a chance to pick again. But because it's 7c isn't it just a straight swap?

Hmmm, surprised no-one took Walsh until 8C. Wanted to take him after I failed with Lindwall, I need a top-drawer seamer to round out my attack, but figured he'd be too high on everyone's list to have made it through to the second, let alone third round. That said, getting Hutton to provide a rock-solid opener isn't a bad result
