Interestingly, even if Bangladesh win 2-0 vs. India, their ranking decreases by only 1? A 1-1 draw still gives them +3 points.. How does this make sense?

The predictor seems to be FUBARed when putting in results between "mismatched" (i.e. more than 40 points gap in rankings) between them.

Correct rankings (imo) would be

2-0 Ind: India 125pts (+1)
1-0 Ind: India 123pts (-1)
0-0 or 1-1 drawn series: India 120pts (-4)
1-0 Bdesh: India 117pts (-7)
2-0 Bdesh: India 116pts (-8)

Sad days for the sport indeed when we have to trust a Northman with a laptop ahead of the governing body :p

Morkel's problem is when he appears to be bowling really well he doesn't take wickets. It doesn't help he's part of a weak attack. Ntini is gone, while Steyn looks super flat and ineffectual. Harris is struggling to contain while Kallis's best days with the ball are behind him. Parnell may not be quite ready for five day cricket but de Wet deserves another go. There appears to be a shortage of quality seam bowlers in SA compared with in other countries.
Give Steyn some time..This is the first time he has looked this flat. He is coming back after an injury, is still young. Its a matter of time before he gets back on top.

True, though he looked a bit flat in the return series against Australia and in the ODIs against England before he did his hammy.

Have to say I kinda disagree with the previous thoughts about Rashid - that he should prioritise his batting or that England would be hoping he becomes a top 6 batsman who bowls when the conditions suit. If given the choice I would almost always chose a world-class bowler over a world-class batsmen, especially in the current era where for whatever reason the former group seems to be lacking.

Overcast in CT.
win the toss and insert the opposition.
Eng to win the toss and bowl first, knock a few over early.I just know that is going to happen.

edit:
Take your finger OUT SA, in particular Ashwell, JP and Ntini.
It's the NCG ffs.

Surely Ntini will be dropped.

Latest news is that Ntini has agreed to join Middlesex as a Kolpak.

As for this test, they reckon it will rain all day.

Ntini was the 2nd highest wicket taker for the previous decade.
Was a legend.
As for the test:
should clear later in the day.
Cape Town : 4 seasons in a day.

Hey guys, my first post although I've been reading this blog a while.

Hopefully this isn't the end of Ntini's career, and that he finds some form so he can build himself a fitting finale. The way Haydos went out was just depressing.
