I haven't seen De Wet bowl yet, you don't rate Parnell? He looks like he had potential when I saw him bowl in Perth in an ODI earlier this year.
I will reserve my judgement on Parnell at the moment, but its hard to get around the fact that his FC record is poor and he has struggled so far this season. Dont think it is the right time to throw him into the deep end just yet.

On De Wet, I wasnt completely impressed by him either, but I do think he is a better long term option than both Morkel and Ntini at the moment.

If I were a South African fan, Morne Morkel would tear my hear out. For a big guy and gets a lot of bounce, he does bowl a lot of no-balls and goes for a lot of runs. You can see that he can potentially be a good bowler, but he isn't.

imo, a youth-oriented outlook on SA bowling would def have Parnell featuring. Hopefully for them, de Wet is one of those late bloomers and has 6 or 7 years in him, as he is already in his late twenties iirc.

Parnell is young and sprightly and super exciting. Might be giving him a token 100th test cap in ten years, who knows?

I like to use the analogy of Harmison with Morkel, even though I am aware that given what Morne has accomplished so far at the test match level that would be flattering him. I don't like his action and I think it hurts his accuracy and I also think that like Harmison he doesnt bowl on the stumps enough. He bowled some good balls in Englands 1st inning but by and large he did not bowl enough at the stumps IMO and that is why he will continue to struggle to take 5fers at the test match level unless he fixes that.

Thank you Anderson for finally pitching the ball up and as expected Harris looking completely at sea.
Geez, looking at the position that Harris got himself into for that ball, he really had no hope of being able to play that. If he didn't get lbw he would have been very fortunate to not have chipped it straight up in the air.
