Well, you are talking to the guy who started this thread...What do you mean 'forced to play'? You are acting as if he is some sort of superstar bowler.

Playing him on these roads in random odi's will do more harm then good to a young bowler's confidance I would prefer if India rests Ishant and Sreesanth if they are going to prepare these bowler killer roads in this series. What do you mean 'forced to play'? A good fast bowler should be able to bowl tightly on this wicket, as Nehra has demonstrated.Playing him on these roads in random odi's will do more harm then good to a young bowler's confidance I would prefer if India rests Ishant and Sreesanth if they are going to prepare these bowler killer roads in this series.
I'm the guy who was forced to eat his words after heavily criticising the selection of Ishant for the Australia tour which turned out to be his breakthrough, perhaps I should have stuck to my convictions more.Well, you are talking to the guy who started this thread...
Well, he does not have to show up for Delhi; he chose to make himself available as he did not feel that burnout was the reason for his poor performances.Haha, Ishant's being paid $900,000 a year for doing squat in the IPL. He'd better be upto the task of weathering a bad day at the office like the rest of us. They can run him into the ground for all I care Besides, he's not going to get any rest if he's dropped from the ODI series. He'll have to show up for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy.
When he is 25+ fully matured as a bowler like Zak or Nehra then I have no issues not at this stage.A good fast bowler should be able to bowl tightly on this wicket, as Nehra has demonstrated.
Thinking that he is not up to bowling on flat pitches, due to lack of experiene and ability is different to saying that he is 'forced to play this rubbish'. It is rather that he should not be selected because he is not good enough. When he is 25+ fully matured as a bowler like Zak or Nehra then I have no issues not at this stage.
AWTA.Sehwag > Daylight > Other off spinners in the world
If he was rested from the ODIs because the team management felt he was burnt out, he'd better be penalised for disregarding the team management's assessment and turning up for Delhi anyway. If he was 'rested' because he isn't good enough, he'd better not be thinking he showed up for Delhi because he 'chose to'. If he's dropped, it shouldn't be upto him to decide whether to stay tucked in bed or play for his state team, unless he's not contracted to them.Well, he does not have to show up for Delhi; he chose to make himself available as he did not feel that burnout was the reason for his poor performances.
He is bowling atm.Do you think Sharma is going to get another bowl in this match? In Australia you notice the captains tend to fall back on the expensive quick and more times then not he actually gets his bowling figures looking somewhat decent.
