happy enough with the draw (assuming nothing diastrous happens from here), half of me sadistically wishes we'd lost a few more poles for a more exciting finish!

I think we were going to go for it when kp got out, hence his silly run, all things considered we've been pretty competitive throughout the match. Amla's ton was so important - had we snared him early i reckon we'd have gone on to win

oh balls
8-)

Didn't see it, but presumably if de Wet had bowled that 4th delivery maybe Onions wouldn't have got his bat down in time?

Strange decision by Smith at the end.
Strange captaincy all summer. I don't rate his captaincy at all. Should have decalred earlier yest and SA should of upped the RR in 1st innings. Also let the team take the foot of pedal when we had England down in their 2nd innings but then again Strauss captaincy was just as shocking after winning the Smith(toss).

Haa ENG escape again Cardiff style. Damn although i hope ENG continue to fight hard, SA really have no reason to lose this series, unless they do crap like what AUS did in the Ashes.

Oh my Lord. That was not needed. Heart is racing

Strange decision by Smith at the end.
Halfway through the penultimate over, I thought, surely Smith can't bring Ntini on just because it's his hundredth Test?

Should have been Harris or de Wet IMO. Spinner to a tailender is always a nightmare for the batsman.

Yeah look, all jokes aside, I agree with beefy, losing those wickets might have been a good thing because they'll be buzzing now. We're gonna roll these over at Durban.

Fair play to Colly. Also to de Wet, who bowled up a storm with the second new ball. Be counter intuitive to drop him for Ntini when Steyn's back, surely?

And bye-bye, Belly. Those scores since his recall in full: 58, 8, 3, 72, 4, 5, 2. Not good enough, IMHO especially when, IIRC, he had three lives in the first half-century.
