Ton up for Amla, & very well played. Apart from Strauss's stupidity, the difference in this game will probably be that in each innings one of the Saffers went on with it after getting a start.

England given up the ghost. Hash get the hundred and then it should be slogtime but Smith probably doesn't have enough faith in the seamers to opt for that approach. Could see them batting for at least the next 15 overs.
Seems that way

I'd have declared when Amla got his richly deserved ton tbh

Best chance is for Smith to keep batting

Dont really see what he's trying to achieve here
Maybe he'll declare when they're 350 ahead. Which won't take long given the crap that Broad is serving up. But they probably had enough 100 runs ago imo.

What odds on Cook scoring a ton and becoming the youngest English man with 10 centuries and England winning the match and Cook being declared a hero by those that judge a player purely on their last innings?

Strauss nicks one that straightens from around the wicket.

Why on earth didn't Australia bowl to him there at all during the Ashes? He's a quality batsman, but it's by far the weakest area of his game.

England 20/1. Worth a fiver.

Wasn't confident at all until Amla got out.
England faces were a picture when Amla got the grubber. Collective sigh of oh ****.

Marvellous innings from Hash though. Tricky pitch and a very tricky situation he found himself in. Guy just loves Centurion.

Love that Amla dismissal. More pitches where cracks do that please! Finally, the batsmen out of luck for once. I've been to Indian airports, and I swear some of those pitches are flatter than the runways, literally. More shooters = good. Players have helmets, they'll deal with it.

Back home and back with Sky. Ahhh.

Amla seems genuinely humble guy with a great Indian/Yarp fusion accent, but wish he'd shave his 'tache an inch or two lower down. The bits that come above his upper lip look proper wispy and daft. Should take note of Mohammad Yousuf & Mushtaq Ahmed: could set your watch to their beards.

Just saw the De Villiers review. Pffft. Looked stone dead in real time and Hawkeye seemed to confirm. Honestly can't see how it wasn't overturned, even allowing for the margin of error.

Looked like a fair enough n/o to me. Because it seamed heavily from a full length the angle the ball was travelling at was taking it further down leg than it looks the first time you see it.
